We also didn't want to use harsh training methods (like choke chains or e-collars) and the fact that Bridget doesn't even allow those in her classes made a great first impression on paper. I didn't really know what to expect when we started and was a little out of my league and a little intimidated, but when we walked out of the very first session with our wee baby dog knowing how to sit and walk on a leash in under an hour, I was impressed. Bridget is great with recognizing which dogs are better paired together and which ones likely shouldn't interact and then pairs them up for individual play time during the sessions. Having the combination of social time and training time. She truly understands their behaviors and the way they think. I've never seen dogs adjust to training so quickly. I honestly wish I had gone to her with my last dog because she's great with all ages and stages of dogs, but I just didn't know to even look for her! Our dog is now 5.5 months old and he has since graduated puppy kindergarten and just completed elementary manners. Those two classes are very similar in training, but elementary is a smaller class, more focused, and it really does help reinforce the behavior as the dog is growing and changing constantly. We plan on enrolling in more classes so we can continue our dog's growth and development because Bridget really does understand dogs and has really helped us with a crazy puppy!

I was so nervous to take our sweet pup Kip to a dog trainer, but I'm so glad we did. Kip has some fear aggression with men and after reading all of Bridget's reviews, I thought she ma be the perfect fit for Kip. Immediately upon arriving to our private session, she was calm and sweet with Kip. Within 15 minutes into the session, he was responding to commands from her such as sit, down and leave it! We had a two hour private session and I can honestly say I saw a huge difference in Kip just after the one session. He seems to have more confidence, is listening to my commands when he becomes nervous and seems happier! She only uses positive training methods...which was a must for us. She trains using treats, eye contact and positive reinforcement! We will be going back for her elementary manners class in a few weeks and I am sooo excited to see the progress Kip will continue to make! Like I have told so many people already..she is like a dog angel! Thanks Bridget!

Not only did we have private lessons at an affordable fee, we have continued to use all Back In The Pack services! I would never leave Leo with anyone but Dari, and I think Leo feels the same :) There is something about her voice and her personality that immediately got Leo to listen! She worked with us on basic obedience but we had bigger issues including nipping , walking control on leash, commands and reversing bad behavior. You are provided hands on training and so is the puppy/ dog :) I had very high standards when selecting a trainer, and all exceeded . As a trainer she keeps it real, Dari will let you know a) the dog is doing this because xyz and B) you as a owner and handler are doing xyz which isn't consistent with trining and your goals. Dari is also a wonderful person, mother, wife and family woman with a contagious drive to do better and more! Wonder Trainer and Wonder Woman!!! Leo and I adore you.

He also couldn't go for a walk more than 4 houses from ours. Within a week of boot camp, he was walking on a leash without any issues. He was more confident with so much less anxiety. He was a completely different dog and Dari was able to train him with positive reinforcement to live a happier life! We highly recommend Dari whether it's boarding or training as your dogs will be in good hands!

Joey is always excited when we are pulling up the driveway to SM! The abundance of 5-star reviews reassured us, and we even scheduled a one-night trial stay to test it before our longer family trip. During that visit, we were promised strong communication, regular photo updates, and a high standard of care while we were away. Sadly, our actual experience was the complete opposite. While traveling in Asia, we were told we'd receive regular updates. Instead, we got only three photos over a span of 10 days--and only after multiple follow ups and texts from our side. The lack of communication and unease made it difficult for any of us to enjoy our trip and we knew something was not right. When it came time for pickup, the owner was not even present. Just a few hours before we landed, we received a text informing us that our dog was injured and her teenage son would be there for pick up. There was no explanation, no phone call, no attempt to take responsibility, and not a single follow-up to check on how she was doing after. It felt cold, negligent, and deeply unprofessional. We later learned the injury was a torn ACL requiring surgery. What's most upsetting is that we had clearly disclosed a prior ACL injury in the intake paperwork--on the opposite leg. That information was either ignored or not reviewed at all. There was no transparency, no apology, and absolutely no concern for how serious the injury was. We chose Sugar Maple Farm because we wanted a safe and trusted place. When something went wrong, there was no accountability--only deflection. That trust was completely broken. It's devastating to watch our dog struggle with pain and limited mobility, and to know she now faces a 12-15 week recovery from a surgery that may have been preventable with proper care. We came home expecting to see her happy and healthy. Instead, we're managing a serious injury with no answers on what happened. If you value your dog's safety and well-being, I urge you to look elsewhere. Sugar Maple Farm may have glowing reviews, but our experience was proof that when things go wrong, this facility does not step up.

Truth be told, he already knew most of them before we started, but it was great for his socialization to meet all of the other puppies of various sizes and their owners. There is also a cute little store to buy some nice toys, leashes, and food. A few inevitable "accidents" happened on the floor, even my pup had one during the last class; but there was a mop ready for the occasion and the trainer did not make a big deal out of it. This was so much better than another business that I tried that used clicker training where they told you over and over that your pup had better not have an accident or else and the training method looked like it was going to be stressful for both dogs and owners. We left that one after the first class. I highly recommend Dog Day Afternoon.
