I'm not sure how the rate compared to the bank with an US account though. The last visit I didn't see the currency I was looking for on their information sign. The sign is located in the window and you can view it even if the store is not open. There were two staff working and one was occupied with a customer and the other was able to help me right away. I asked if they had Korean Won and she said yes. She asked how much I wanted and I told her how much in Canadian dollars. The whole transaction was quick as I paid for it on my Debit card and she gave me the money in an envelope. I appreciate that they have various currencies and that it's convenient to go to in the mall, and I don't mind paying a service fee for that convenience.

I quite like getting my money exchanged at ICE. Located on the departures 2nd floor of the airport,…read moreacross from security between the Air Canada and WestJet area, it is a very convenient location for me. There are other locations after getting through security as well. I always use the super easy Click and Collect feature online (or by phone, but I always use the web), which allows you to place your order up to a year ahead of time, and basically have your currency reserved and ready to be picked up free of service charges at the ICE location of your choice. You can then pay by cash or debit when you pick up. One thing I really like is that they will buy back any of your leftover currency (bills only) at the rate that you originally purchased at, at no service charge, upon presenting your original currency purchase receipt. So don't lose it! If they don't have your currency listed online, feel free to email or call the main company, as they say that they have access to over 75 currencies. They are pretty good with calling and emailing back right away. Note also that if you need something quickly, it might be best to call the ICE location directly. This is how I found out that they only place orders twice per week, on Wednesdays and Mondays before 11am. The one drawback with using ICE is that I don't think they have the best exchange rates as the rate I was quoted was quite a bit different from XE.com. However I don't know what kind of markup there usually is with currency exchanges so I don't know how good or bad it really is. Overall I love the convenience of ICE's services and the decent customer service so I will probably still keep using it!

Till last Friday Oct. 23, I have regularly bought US dollars from them and entrusted them to deposit amount into my USD bank account. I was told in the very beginning that the deposit fee charged by bank will be covered through their currency exchange rate , which means there is no additional charge on the amount deposited, they did what they said until Oct . 23 2020. On that day I bought some amount USD, and asked them to deposit into my account as before, but later I found I was charged bank fee and they don't cover the fee, but I did not get any heads up or warning from them. Then I called them seeking the reason of amount cut on my deposit, the staff and the manager intensely asserted that I should talk to the bank about the fee instead of talking to them because it is bank charging me. I certainly know that bank will charge fee, however, the issue is: bank fee has been there since the beginning, and it is them, Olympia Trust, to withdraw their policy and stop covering the fee through exchange rate any more. First of all, they betrayed customer's trust by failing to explain the policy change before doing the transaction; later when facing customer's question they try to confuse and misguide customer on cause of the issue so that they get themselves out of any responsibility. Such customer service delivered by this company branch is low quality and absolutely should not be recommended to prevent any more victims.
