For some reason I always get super nervous when I go into a bank. Maybe it's because of the atmosphere, maybe it's because I know my accounts are in the best shape... Luckily this CIBC branch is always very quiet, so I don't need to sweat it out waiting in line. Every time I've gone there's maybe been only one other customer there, which is a definite perk.
The staff members are usually decently quick, although they aren't exactly the best informed on certain things. About 1 in 5 times where I've wanted to do simple things - like proving that I'm a student or withdrawing money - and it's taken forever and a manager needed to come over to assist. The most memorable occasion was when I was trying to update my signature and I had presented the lady with about 3 different pieces of ID, but she still refused to believe it was me because "my signature was different on the account". Well the signature that I had on the account was done when I was 8 years old and I'm pretty sure all it consisted of was a smiley face... We got it sorted out after a manager came, but it still ate up a good 20 minutes of my life trying to prove I was me. read more
