Strongly recommend this unassuming looking shop for the quality of service, promptness with which…read morerepairs are carried out, but also the honesty and integrity of the owner. If a shoe is worth repairing he'll tell you but if it isn't he'll be equally frank. Shoes are beautifully clean when I come to collect them (will need to clean them before I take them round next time! :) ) Wouldn't dream of going anywhere else!!

I did some research on the internet and came across Tip Top Shoe repairs in Mount Florida. Headed over yesterday, explained my problem and Jim suggested a rubber sole and heel to be put onto both boots. I left them with him, walked out in my socks (nice sunny day and getting odd looks from folks) to a cafe round the corner for breakfast. Had just finished my breakfast and Jim called to say they were ready. To be frank, i did not know what to expect and i was pleasantly surprised to see the heavily worn down sole replaced with a rubber half sole and new rubber heels. and the price was...... £20 for the pair! Jim's skills saved me a packet, my feet are dry and if the glue holds up i'm expecting to get another couple of years riding out of them. The other option i was exploring was buying some shoe goo on amazon and doing a DIY patch job.... the cost of the shoe goo was 14 delivered and i would have made mince meat of trying to creating a smooth finish, with the expectation of replacing the boots soon after. Jim is a very easy guy to talk to, he explores all the options with you and despite the fact that he was busy with other orders he understood my predicament of not having spare shoes to walk about in and prioritised my boots. I can't thank him enough and my advice to bikers in Glasgow is..... check your boots and if the soles are worn down then go see Jim and get new soles BEFORE you get holes in them. You will be keeping a traditional local business alive and your wallet will thank you. My previous disappointing experience with Timpson's a few years ago and their prices of £59 for resoles saved me a potential headache. I am certain you will not find better service, quality of work and rates anywhere else this side of Glasgow. one well chuffed, dry footed biker

Work needed me to get some keys cut because I've now become a responsible person, I'll have you…read moreknow. I'm going to be a key holder or as I like to call myself the Key Master, still looking for the Gatekeeper though. I heard the shop in Govan was bit dear so did a bit o' Googling and came across Keys Galore in Cessock. I also checked Yelp but it only had the address and number so I thought what if someone else ends up in my position hence me being the first to review. Yay! It's like walking into a grandad's workshop. There were two old men, one sitting in a comfy arm chair by the window and another sitting in chair made out of a beer barrel, sitting beside a matching beer barrel cabinet. Very cool might I add. So the guy in the beer barrel seat got up and I showed him the keys needing cut. I couldn't believe my eyes at the amount of keys on the walls, yes walls. It put Timpson to shame, it was like an Aladdin's cave of keys. Ooooh! The place was pretty shabby but in a good way, if that makes sense. You can tell this place has been here for many many years as there was lots of thingimijigs of stuff I've no idea what they were. Stickers stuck to various places that you know were probably stuck there in the 80s and have been there ever since. The man had to check a type of key I needed so he called up a company just to check, he certainly knew his keys though. He found the keys he needed and they were done in minutes. He was such a lovely man and his friend kept me company with a bit conversation about the weather, also found out the owner's only got one leg. Ah the things that come up in conversations. Overall it was a good experience, the price was a little dearer than I had hoped but I think nowadays anywhere you go is going to be a bit more expensive. It was hop, skip and a jump from Cessock underground and it also meant I could grab my lunch from Cherry and Heather's across the road. Yipee!! Check out the raving reviews. http://www.yelp.co.uk/biz/cherry-and-heather-glasgow#query:Cherry%20and%20Heather%20Fine%20Foods
