Indeed, this is the world of all things door like (aka eh...doors). Having lived above it for…read morealmost a year and never witnessing anyone but employees or delivery men entering this place, I'm slightly confused as to how it has managed to stay in business this long. By 'this long' I mean, a considerable time; seen as the first thing my day said when I moved into the flat was - 'oh next to that door place? I remember passing that on my way to work in [something along the British Steel lines but not as old as that]..'. Needless to say, it's an institution for locals who have walked or bus-ed past in for years. However, I reckon it's success is really down to all those DIY enthusiasts, renovators and consumer loving individuals around. I don't know much about doors but the staff were super friendly, very knowledgeable and just genuinely lovely. So, if you need a door then this is definitely somewhere you should visit. If you don't buy one here (God forbid) then at least you'll pick up some jargon and have an idea or what kind of price you should expect to get elsewhere.

Brilliant is what I would say about Walter and his colleagues…read more. We had a problem with the roughcast on the front of our house in that it was pourous and letting water through into the inside of the house and damaging the internal plaster work. I phoned quite a few companies however they either did'nt turn up or came out had a loook and then never came back. Walter came out at the stated time, identified the problem and gave what I consider to be a very fair price. As this was in November 2015 he advised that it would be better waiting until we had better weather as the roughcast required to be removed back to brick and reapplied. In May 2016 he came out and completed all the work that was required. What a difference it has made. The colour match is very good to the extent you wouldn't know it had been done against the rest of the house. I am very happy with the work carried out to such an extent that he will be coming back out later in the year to repair my monoblock drive and some more rendering on the steps at the rear of my house. I can recommend Walter. Professional job done well. Thank you very much no more leaky house.
