Don't like to leave a bad review, however Restoration Plaster (Mark) has put us through hell over…read morethe past 8 months. He did various work in our property including replacing our living room ceiling and installing new cornice - the old ceiling was taken down in February, and the work has only just been finished in October. This has meant that we haven't been able to use it for in excess of half a year. He consistently told us he would be there to finish the job, and it would be done 'this week', then never turned up. I think his record for not showing up was 4 times in one week... I advised that I would be claiming money back through VISA as the work was not finished after 7 months and we were constantly being let down, at this point Mark called aggressively shouting and swearing advising that he wanted the cornice back he had installed, then hung up (despite the fact that we had paid for it). Someone else who worked with Mark then got in touch saying they would come round to finish the work which happened after about another 2 weeks. I spent a full day cleaning up the mess left behind, with two trips to the skip, and now we have started painting, we can see that the cornice is not straight (despite a new ceiling being put in), there are several cracks and imperfections in the cornice, and some of the cornice joints are very noticeable.

The guys are always punctual and respectful of the fact they are working in your home. We've never had any issues with the bathrooms or kitchens they've installed. Excellent attention to detail and competitively priced. Ivan, Craig & Ross recently installed a pensioner friendly bathroom and were lovely in dealing with our parents and the challenges which come with clients who have dementia. Fantastic company and we'll definitely use the guys again in the future.

Right - I'm increasing my previous review's stars up to about four and a half. While, I was aware…read morethat my folks were getting a new bathroom put in, it was only recently, that I realised it was this company that they finally used. Now, from their account it seems that Florida Home Improvements managed successfully to walk the domestic tightrope of their individual bathroom desires. The mother wanted a wet-room for £3, 000 and was rather upset to find out that it would mean a wall being knocked down and triple her estimation (or thereabouts? Who knows.); meanwhile the father didn't want a new bathroom at all. Somehow, Florida Home Improvements managed to persuade them (and my mother had already won the new bathroom war - to some extent) that a newer, shiner and more stylish - yet relatively modest - bathroom was required. They also managed to save their old tiles (see Bathstore.com review) and reused them around the bath which saved a lot of time, trouble and money. Moreover, the staff were very open and honest in their evaluations and quotations. So much so that no extra charges were encountered - the opposite in fact. Top quality.
