OK, in the interest of total honesty, no I have not tried every sitter in the PDX area so I can't compare, but all I can say is, if there is a better sitter available then you had better hire that person immediately! I have never seen a work ethic like hers in my life, and I am from the East Coast. She is efficient, responsible, trust worthy and truly cares about animals. There's no faking it here people, she honestly loves cats! (In fact, my cats like her more than me!) I have used her services several times and always been beyond pleased. It really takes a weight off your shoulders to know you hired such a responsible person you can count on. She has above average communication skills providing detailed emails daily (along with photos) to read while away. Also operates a very well run business model. Anya, and her caring staff not only love cats but are experts at caring for them.They have vet techs on staff who know what to look for and what to do if there is an unexpected kitty health issue. We so appreciate that they can do a nail trim when he's there so we don't have to!! Their manager Shanon, is a certified pet nutritionist. She was so helpful when I needed advice on how best to help our 15 lb cat Ozzie loose some weight. Our neighbor took their indoor/outdoor cat there when their wood floors were being refinished. Sam is an adopted stray. He was shy and nervous and he'd never been boarded. They knew exactly how to make him feel comfortable and not so scared about being in a new strange place, and he did just fine. We had a vacation planned for this week over new years, but had to cancel last minute. We had no warning, and my wife asked me to call Tiny's since she couldn't stop crying. I called Tiny's within 20 minutes of us finding out. I was apologetic. My voice was shaking because I was pretty disappointed too. I explained the situation and said that I was very sorry, I understood we wouldn't get our $150 deposit back and again, I'm very sorry. Denise at Tiny's was very quiet through the whole interaction, at the end all she said was "I'm sorry to hear about your trip" Two minutes later I hear my wife burst out sobbing again. They sent her a text message letting us know that they no longer wanted us as clients. If I had known, or Denise given any indication on the phone I would have tried to make it right. I probably would have paid the whole amount because Tiny's is convenient and we've enjoyed patronizing their business. There was no warning, Denise decided to punch my wife in the stomach over a lost $450 after keeping our deposit, while we were in the middle of cancelling 12k worth of reservations. I would have been totally fine with paying ahead of time, we've spent a lot of money there, but instead of discussing financial impact, expressing any displeasure whatsoever, or giving us a chance to repair the relationship, Denise retaliated viciously. She had the opportunity to discuss any concerns with me on the phone, but decided instead to text my crying wife. I have advocated for this business, I have suggested it to friends. I regret that, because they clearly have zero respect for their customers. Denise made a terrible day worse with zero thought for her customers. Denise told us to get lost during our worst day in recent memory with no remorse. I will not be patronizing this business further, and I hope anyone reading this takes their behavior into consideration before doing business with Denise. She may care about cats, but clearly doesn't care about customers.

However, the employees had exactly the right vibe for her because she went to them immediately and don't look back. The facility is clean and she was obviously well cared for. Some with medical issues, some returned with never before seen behavioral problems. I know they drugged my dog because she heard me and was howling to get to me. I can only tell anyone else who didn't see my review and picked up their pet with a problem, take it to the vet immediately and have your pet tested for drugs and or mistreatment. All I can say is Debbie didn't think for a moment about drugging my dog while I waited outside for her to come to the door. She overdosed my dog to the point of kidney problems. Debbie is fortunate the statue of limitation is past or she would be dealing with me in court. That dog was my best friend to me and my children. I will never forget what Debbie did to my beautiful Aussie.
