I'm almost finished and so glad I chose this school! Other programs cost twice as much. The hands-on experience, thorough training, and attentive instructors have been amazing. No student gets left behind. It's been such a rewarding experience! I'm leaving this school ready to build a clientele read more

I initially left a lower rating due to a lack of response and communication, but the owner, Michelle, went completely above and beyond to make things right. She thoroughly investigated the situation and discovered a technical glitch with their routing system that was causing the breakdown in communication. Michelle kept me informed every step of the way as a courtesy. It was clear that she was genuinely happy to find and fix the problem. I will always stand behind a business owner who takes real pride in making things better for their customers. Thank you, Michelle! read more

I have been studying in the 600-hour massage program at Calcopa Massage School for a little over four months now, and I honestly couldn't ask for a better school. The school is relatively small, but it's very well organized. The smaller class sizes allow instructors to give each student the attention they need, which makes a huge difference in learning. One of the things I appreciate most is the environment created by the owners and instructors. While they provide excellent structure and guidance, there's no sense of hierarchy here--they are approachable, supportive, and truly considerate of each student's individual situation. They always do their best to help you succeed, and because of this, the atmosphere among students feels like a family. The interactions are warm and encouraging, almost like being with siblings, and I genuinely enjoy coming to class every day. I originally chose Calcopa because they offer new full-time classes each month, which was very convenient for me since I didn't want to wait around for a new term to start. I'm not sure about the scheduling for part-time students, but I know the start dates are flexible as well. Overall, my experience here has been nothing but positive--filled with great learning, personal growth, and unexpected surprises. I'm truly grateful for choosing this school and would highly recommend it to anyone considering a massage therapy program. read more

I attended this school back in 1987 and was able to make a living as a massage therapist for years. I went back for more hours in 2013 and the staff was helpful and encouraging the entire time. With the skills I learned there I was able to work for myself, several chiropractors and physical therapy clinics over the years. The best of luck to you and your new career. read more

The environment, education and community at this school is superb! They make sure you know the materials to a long, successful and healthy career in Massage Therapy! I would totally recommend going to this school! Thank you so much Calcopa! read more

I graduated from here doing my 500 hours of massage. And have gone back for sports massage, and shiatsu. Loved it because it was small and you got the attention you need to learn. Great teachers. Great experience. read more

Calcopa is the most amazing school! They are excellent at their educational program and helping those with special needs. Quality information and the instructors are kind and caring to each individual. They explain things thoroughly and will also take extra time if needed. I cannot recommend this place more! read more

Calcopa Massage School was the best massage school I have ever attended. They had spacious room for students to practice and the massage room was nice and warm. I graduated in 2019 and my teacher Michelle was very knowledgeable and thoughtful! read more

Outstanding educational and experiential opportunities. I attended another massage school about 20 years ago, and even practiced for awhile. Fast forward, my education and certification has lapsed and needed to go back to school. After visiting Calcopa several times, the energy, feeling of family, yet professional atmosphere felt right for me. I'm so happy that I chose Calcopa to further my educational goals as I have learned many times over what I "thought" I new from my previous school. read more

Beautiful parlor. Very open and welcoming. Staff is professional and caring. You can tell that they have your best interest in mind.

I went to CalCopa on the weekends as I was working full-time during the week. Fast forward 6 years, my dreams have come true: I quit my full time job and I'm a full time masseuse to some very high end clients! Cal Copa taught me some wonderful basics that I still use. They gave me everything I needed to start my own successful massage business! I still sometimes call them to ask questions! The staff is just amazing. I HIGHLY recommend this school. read more

`I've been going to the massage school for quite a while and have never been disappointed. No matter who does the work, whether it's a seasoned professional updating their skills, or a newbie with just a few weeks under their belt, the outcome is magnificent! read more

I attended this school back in 2012 and have been working independently now for over 10 years as a certified massage therapist. This is a no frills school, recognized by the state of California - meaning, once you pass all the tighter/stricter requirements of the school, you are automatically qualified to apply to the state for your official certification in massage therapy. There's no additional courses to be taken outside of what is necessary or useful for certification. Take 6 months and dedicate yourself and you'll be on your way to a new and rewarding career - or maybe just additional income to be worked part time. If quality of course and teaching is what matters to you, then you'll find it here. If you're looking for the prestigious, modern day facility, you may not be comfortable. What you will get is solid teaching, a staff that will work with you to see you succeed, unlimited chances to get a passing grade, financial aid, job placement help, and stupidly reasonable tuition. Truth is if you are disciplined with your time, you could do this full time school in conjuction with a full time job. If nothing else, it's a great skill to have if you are someone good with his/her hands and enjoy helping others feel better. read more

Best anatomy education you'll ever get. I went to CALCOPA 10 years ago and currently enrolled in Physical Therapy school... CALCOPA's teachers are way better than supposedly prestigious PT schools. Thanks to Michelle and Emily I have a better understanding of anatomy than how they are teaching it in college! Thank you calcopa for the education I carry with me!! read more

I just had one of the best massages I've ever had from a student at CalCopa. She was amazing, delivering firm fluid strokes in my neck, shoulders, back, legs, arms fingers and I even had her provide a cranial massage to support my brain health. I am blown away. Grateful. And their office and staff is so welcoming. I will be back! read more

WOW Look who on the front page... lol I LOVE CALCOPA , I became a Massage Therapist here and has lead me into a new career that I Love and enjoy. I just went back last week for a massage during clinic and I had Christal. I had a stiff and sore neck for 2 days after giving 15 massages @work and let me tell you I will keep coming back. Michelle, Emily and the Best of the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and supportive and understandable. I am looking forward to taking additional classes when I can. THANK YOU CALCOPA read more

The staff is very professional and the massage was great. I am very picky and Tracy was very thorough with just enough pressure...I even got goosebumps multiple times which rarely happens. It was also very relaxing! I would highly recommend. I think they might be moving to a nicer facility soon. That's the only thing that made this visit markedly distinguishable from a day spa massage. They get pretty booked out and have very limited clinic hours. The only other negative was the lighting in the room was a little bright for my preference but like I said I'm very particular. Thank you so much to everyone at cal copa for the wonderful visit! My second appointment was just as great. The sweet woman who runs the office is very welcoming and she even made me peppermint tea! read more

I came for a massage yesterday after buying a Living Social coupon. Being that it's a massage school, I was unsure what it would be like. It was a wonderful experience. The facility is very clean and the ambience is very comfortable and relaxing. I had one of the best massages I've ever had with Regina. Very reasonably priced as well. read more

I was having severe back pain and called for an immediate appointment. I was booked for the same day with a student, Cole. My visit started early and was amazing. The room was comfortable with soothing music playing. Cole listened to my description of symptoms and addressed my issues. I slept last night for the first time in three nights. I will be going back. read more

I just finished my coursework at CALCOPA and I am excited to start my massage career. My time spent at Calcopa has given me the foundation to get off to an excellent start. They take time to listen to you and work with each student individually to help them meet their goals. Michelle has extensive knowledge of the field and generously shares that knowledge. Also they bring in guest teachers to expose students to the different modalities and business models. It was an amazing value as well and all in beautiful Huntington Beach. I'll be returning to take electives to increase my knowledge and add to my skill set. read more

I can't say enough about Calcopa! I was ready to reinvent myself, but really nervous about enrolling in massage school. But after a few days at Calcopa, it soon became clear that I've never made a better decision. Michelle Mangano (owner/instructor) really cares about each and every student and is a passionately devoted teacher. She is all about making sure students really learn the material, (not just memorize facts to pass the tests), helping them use the information to inform their own technique, and teaching correct body mechanics so students can enjoy a long career injury and pain free. After I graduated, they stayed in touch and even connected me to potential employers. They really are like family. If you are trying to decide between a bigger school and Calcopa, go for Calcopa--you'll get the individual attention and quality education you deserve. read more

I cannot express strongly enough how wonderful CALCOPA and the entire staff is. Enrolling in this school to become a massage therapist was the best decision I made for my future! After we finished this school we keep connection and we are acting as big family. I got lead a year ago from my CalCopa for job in The Spa I am working now. A month ago, my boss asked me if I know some good therapist as I am, and I asked Emily and Michele to send someone new graduated, and she got job. This school gives and teach us to be the best massage therapist. Thank you CalCopa. read more

I did the 600 hour program, along with a few additional modalities. I thought it was a great school! The classes are small, so you get lots of individual instruction and attention. Emily and Michelle (and Sarah and Celina) are wonderful teachers. I did a lot of research before choosing which massage school to attend, and I am so glad I chose this one! I had no problem getting a job right out of school, and I have been working as a massage therapist continuously for over four years now. I highly recommend it! read more

This is the best school to go to if you plan to be a Massage Therapist or even any occupation that may involve massage therapy. The teachers (also owners of the school) will teach you, even if you have the hardest time learning. All you need to do is want for it to happen and you will succeed here. read more

CALCOPA gave me so much more than just an education.... I had already been nationally certified in 2002 but was unable to segue into massage during this time and my certification lapsed. So upon making the decision to change careers in my 50's, and in looking for my '2nd round' of education, it was important to find a school that not only supported my goals, but also fit my personality. In seeking to find this, I came upon CALCOPA. It started w/ a phone call and speaking w/ Sally, who definitely gave me great info and invited me to come and see the school. I met w/ Michelle and explained to her my situation, former schooling, etc...and she was extremely accommodating and had the same vision for myself that I did. I enrolled in their programs in Sept 2014 - Dec 2014, tested out of an additional class, did as many clinics that I could, all in order to finish before the new year. There were many days that I was overwhelmed w/ the curriculum, tests, deadlines, but Michelle & Emily always put things into perspective and guided us through it all. These 2 inspirational leaders never let us fail, and for that, I am extremely grateful. So when I say CALCOPA gave me so much more than just an education....they challenged me to be my best, they course-corrected me when I fell off track, AND they cultivated a confidence in me that I will carry into my new career of Massage Therapy. I highly recommend CALCOPA for your Massage School of choice. It's more than just a classroom of learning, its your spiritual journey. Thank you, Michelle and Emily. Forever thankful, V read more

I haven't studied at CalCopa but I have had some wonderful massages there. They offer massages from the students after the students have acheived a certain level of competence. The price is right, $40, and it's always a great massage. read more

Great Continuing Education Classes! I am a massage therapist and was looking for some good CE classes that were not too long and expensive. After some research, I found CalCopa which offers wide variety of NCBTMB approved CE classes. The school is very welcoming with good instructors. I've already taken a few classes and am planning to take more in the future. If you are looking for good CE classes either to learn new modalities, refresh or improve your skills, I highly recommend this school. read more

I was in serious pain upon arrival and unable to stand upright. Jaycee really helped. I left standing straight. He was compassionate, listened and focussed on my problem areas. Great experience! The staff was very friendly and professional. The massage was fantastic! I had recently had a surgery and this was my first massage since. I got a great massage package deal for the price. Both of the masseuses who gave my massages were top notch. They knew exactly how to get results and were mindful of my preference for strength of touch. I was very pleased and am going back for more. read more

I had previously attended another massage school in San Diego and had a wonderful learning experience while I was there, so after a couple of moves I was happy to find out about this school. I have mostly worked with Michelle, and she has always been very kind and accommodating. I am impressed that they welcomed me and didn't really penalize me with extra fees or strip me of credits I had worked hard on at my other school. This is most certainly a school that models the integrity taught to the students. Something else that impresses me about this school is that it is a humble little place. The owners haven't over-extended themselves financially and provide a very basic place (read: tiny and older) to learn while still providing the students with an excellent education. A huge facility in a swanky location as provided by some of the bigger schools is nice-, but I would most certainly pass that up to grow and learn with CalCopa. I plan to continue taking the last couple of classes I need before I start work as a therapist and I would recommend the school to someone serious about their future as a massage therapist. read more

I did the 600 hour MT program here and I am so greatful I did. Michelle and Emily are some of the most amazing people I have ever met and I am constantly pleasantly surprised at how much more my basic education apparently covered than my peers at work. Don't let the surrounding center bias your opinion of the school itself it's a fantastic place to begin a new career and life. read more
