THE GOOD ----------------…read more+ Possibly the best ice cream I've everrrr, everrrr had! ++++ Almond with Toasted Coconuts and Sweet Cream with Dark Chocolate Chips - Sooooooo goood and soooo creamy smooth and solid. Loved both flavors, but the Almond with Toasted Coconuts really stole my heart...and tastebuds. One of the best flavors of ice cream I've ever had...period! ++++ Strawberry and Cranberry with Dark Chocolate Chunk - Once again, so creamy for ice cream. These fruity flavors were phenomenal! Not too sweet and so natural tasting. No "artifical-ness" whatsoever. Being the hugely obsessive strawberry ice cream fanatic that I consider myself to be, this might have been the best strawberry ice cream I've ever tasted. + Menu consist of some very delicious-sounding and interesting flavors, including the Almond and Sweet Cream ones mentioned above, Pumpkin with Ginger Molasses and Eggnog. + Two employees were very friendly, engaging and informative about the most popular flavors. + Taste-testing is certainly allowed. + Two benches for customers to sit on inside, but there is plenty of standing room to walk around and admire the farm cow photos on the wall. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Like most ice cream shops, there was no restroom available for customers, so make sure to empty those tanks below the belt before arriving. MIXED THOUGHTS --------------------------- = Nada. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Even on a chilly March Saturday evening at around 6 PM, there were PLENTY of folks willing to freeze their tastebuds off here, so that tells you enough about how good the ice cream is here. = Conveniently located right around the corner from the Yale University campus, so you can enjoy your delicious ice cream with some of the world's brightest minds in your company. = According to their story, all of the ice cream served here is naturally produced from the milk of some of their 300 cows, which are housed at Arethusa Farm near Litchfield, CT, hence why their ice cream is so naturally smoooooooth and refreshing and doesn't have a hint of artificial taste in them. Nuff' said!

The employees were friendly and attentive greeting us quickly and explaining the offerings. The sitting area was clean and organized. We went with the Ol' G sandwich which brings provolone cheese, extra ribeye and extra onions. The food was made quickly and it was fresh. The sandwich bread was a little to soggy for my liking. The fries were ok. Overall, the food was just average nothing spectacular. However, the cheesesteaks are made Philly style so if that's what you're craving it'll hit the spot.

Shem Adams is the founder of Philly's and is a true Philly native who has been mentored by Philadelphia's top cheesesteak restauranteurs. Also, he has two other locations that serves these top notch Steak and Cheeses. My daughter and I ordered the O.G. Steak and Cheese, Steak and Cheese Egg rolls, Fresh French Fries, Phried Philly Bread, and a drink called Gorilla Lemonade. The Steak and Cheese was fresh and very flavorful. The meat was delicious and tender. The Steak and Cheese Egg rolls were the bomb. They were very fresh, flavorful, and loaded with Steak and Provolone Cheese. What an amazing bite!! I'm really not a dessert fan but when I seen that the Phried Philly Bread was made with Philly Bread and coated with sugar and spices, Butterscotch Caramel, and hit with some Vanilla Ice Cream, I had to indulge. Oh boy, this dessert was decadent, creamy, an explosive in your mouth, oh so nice, and I was in love. What a great dessert you should not pass it up. The Gorilla Lemonade should be sold at every convenience store because the drinks are delicious from every flavor. The customer service was outstanding and staff were amazing. I love that the restaurant showcases black excellence from the past and present. There is undoubtedly no question I will be back in the building.
