Mallorca is one island. But not all of its coastline is created equal. Since we were prepared with our suits on and were in the town of Andratx, we located Cala Blanca in Port d'Andratx.
Picturesque. Dramatic. Captivating. But, it's a bitch to get to IF you're not wearing close-toe shoes. Hubs and I parked and walked the cliff's edge to get an idea then geared up to head down. Thank heavens I had sneaks in my car because with my flip-flops, I would've lost all my teeth. Do know that you're dodging rocks and shit so keep eyes glued down.
Since the shoreline is very rocky, hubs had no issues with his strapped Timberland water sandals. I, opted out. I had no water sandals and the shoreline was overfilled with grass/seaweed which I wasn't a fan of. After 3 minutes in the water, he dashed out because of the seaweed and a floating fem. hyg. product. Seaweed is seaweed and I get it. But that other stuff just makes the beach ewww.
We had our excellent dose of pristine beaches on the eastern side of Mallorca. But this one ain't it located on the Southwestern side of the island. read more
