From my perspective it was a pretty complicated job. From the start Enrique was honest, communicative, and did a great job explaining what was possible. When it came time to do the work, his team did it in the time promised and their work was excellent quality with great attention to detail (and the price was reasonable). I appreciated how Enrique kept me informed each step of the way and laid out the different options. The end product was outstanding and we are so happy that Enrique and his team were able to leave us with a beautiful deck and shade structure. The whole process was smooth and I especially like how their prices include permit fees. Some places I received quotes from didn't include it and was still quoting more and it also required me to get it myself. I wasn't about to do that with 3 kids in tow. He coordinated the crews, communicated consistently, and, most importantly, made me feel like he genuinely had my back. The demo crew did an excellent job removing the old deck quickly and efficiently, giving the project a great start. We had to send multiple emails, leave numerous voicemails, and practically beg for a return call. The office manager was just awful to deal with. Very unprofessional and condescending with no way to speak to customers. It's not what you say it's how you say it. "We are not going to do that to fix the problem" (after two professionals came and looked at) was given instead of "I'm sorry, our warranty doesn't cover that". And hearing from their repair person this is a common design flaw was not at all comforting. Don't waste your time asking for the owner to call you. You WON'T get a call back. And expect many visits from a repairman to temporarily address the same problems, without actually resolving them, until you eventually just give up trying to get a company to stand behind its product. We chose CW Designs because we wanted to support a small local business, not because we were looking to save money (the other quotes we received was cheaper). Major regrets. We could have saved money and probably ended up with a patio cover better suited for Northern California rain. The cover looks beautiful, but when it rains here in Northern California, the gutters can't keep up, and we end up putting buckets at the corners to catch the water. Apparently, that's our solution. So here we are........Beautiful cover. Can't wait to take out the Eye-sore buckets for the upcoming rainy season and looking forward to emptying the buckets daily ........for the last three years now....... a great conversation piece when guests come over. Terrible customer service. Will not recommend to my worst enemy.
