These Jerks tried telling my boss I was just having a panic attack. They were condescending as hell and we're treating me like I was throwing a tantrum. Turns out it wasn't a stroke, I have a TEAR in my GI tract. Don't treat women or people who are in pain FROM A MEDICAL EMERGENCY like it's nothing. Oh and great job stopping my friends car from taking me to the hospital, because having me sign your guys release form while I was sobbing in pain was more important than my health!!

I needed my blood pressure taken because I was away from home and I suffer with heart problems. I…read morestopped by the Solvang fire station in the evening of 3/16/26. A young man came out and stated they would be happy to assist me. I am older and on a walker. One young man took my pulse ,another one took my blood pressure, while the third young man monitored. I felt so comfortable . Of course they made certain that I did not need medical care or to go the hospital. Thankfully my pressure was not terribly high and everything else was ok. They offered to walk me out and assured me if I needed assistance to call them. All three men were kind and helpful I felt well taken care of and they printed the results so I would have them for my doctor.

He was very unprofessional. Kept going on and on and wouldn't let it go even after the other party had left. He was arrogant and spoke down to me even though I was a woman twice his age. He felt he had something to prove and I definitely had a feeling he knew the other party personally.

My experience with the Paso Robles Police Department was that after an abusive altercation while…read moredisabled, newly pregnant, homeless, and fleeing domestic violence from an ex who was continuously violating multiple 10-year protection orders I sought safety and medical assistance but was instead criminalized into the judicial system creating a record preventing me from my job and basic safe housing needs options during a moment of crisis. I wasn't being helped by the county's public human services department despite asking for assistance multiple times over the past 5 years, which left me in a desperate situation. At the time, I was experiencing homelessness, severe trauma, health complications on top of disability's, and impaired judgment due to overwhelming circumstances. Rather than receiving protection or a trauma-informed response, I was treated as an offender. I was later personally contacted by a now resigned officer from this department abusing their authority to gain & take advantage of sexual relations with me during this time period of vulnerability

My 5-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter both had a great time, which is not always easy with that age difference. There are three floors with so much to do. The first floor has science activities, and the second floor was probably our favorite, with a fire station, medical station, theater stage, police motorcycle, dress-up costumes, building activities and plenty of hands-on exhibits. The third floor has a train station and more activities geared toward younger kids and toddlers. There's also a small outdoor water-play area, which was a nice bonus. One thing I really appreciated as a parent is how thoughtfully the museum is set up. There are bathrooms on every floor, so you don't have to drag everyone up or down the building every time someone needs to go. It's also very accessible and clearly designed with families in mind. It was educational, interactive, affordable and kept both of my kids entertained for a long time. If you're staying in Pismo Beach or anywhere nearby and looking for something fun to do with kids, I highly recommend making the drive to San Luis Obispo. We would absolutely come back.

Then there is a second floor with all the make-believe establishments, where kids can explore different jobs, etc. There is so much to do and discover for kids! We took our 5- and almost-3-year-olds here, and they both loved it so much! They were a little sad when it was time for us to go. It is also worth noting that there are a couple of single-room bathrooms on each floor, which is great for kids, as they can easily access them and then go back to exploring! As we approached they were very welcoming and proceeded to give us a impromptu tour of the truck. Amazing men for sure to take a few minutes to inspire a young mind and make a dream come true .
