What a wonderful trip through an eventful life! We attended a 50th anniversary party at this…read morebeautifully located event center last weekend and were very impressed with the facilities. Friends and family gathered to make this a truly memorable occassion in this lovely place. Located on a main street in Avila Beach, the Community Center is behind the Post Office. Since virtually everything in Avila is relatively new, this is a bright modern and very functional space with a lovely view from the back balcony. There is a large parking lot below, which is hampered a bit by some ongoing construction. As someone who coordinated a huge social event in the county for half a decade, I can really appreciate the facilities available here to the public. There is a large kitchen with a pass through to the main room, there are tables and chairs available, and bathrooms off a small side hall. The banquet/meeting room also has AV equipment available for rent if desired. The multi-purpose room holds up to 150 people depending on the use. The rates vary from $50-$60 per hour, and there is a security deposit as well as a cleaning fee, which also vary depending on usage. You don't have to live in Avila Beach to use this facility. You can get a discount by joining the Avila Beach Civic Assocation, and being a member for one year to obtain 25% off the fees. I attended as a guest, and really enjoyed the guests, the fresh sea air, and beautiful weather at Avila, as well as the gorgeous sunset as the event wound down. I will keep this venue in mind for future fun!

Cancelled on me 2x - 15 minutes Before my appointment time…read more I was trying to visit and establish care for the first time with a provider near my home. I received notification alert text messages the day prior and confirmed my appointment both times. In Both Instances my appointment was cancelled with no explanation - by call - right before the actual appointment started.... I was in the parking lot and have rearranged a work schedule to accomodate this doctor. If you can't take new patients or reject private insurance policies - just say that and dont waste my time

Paso Robles Urgent Care Clinic…read more I had a transformative experience at the community health center in Paso Robles. Recently that ignited my passion for advocacy. The urgent care department has two providers, a doctor and a physician assistant, who I felt misunderstood my request for muscle relaxers to alleviate a severe spasm in my spine and nerve pain in my face. Unfortunately, they delayed my treatment and made light of my condition, which was unsettling. I was also taken aback by their unprofessional comments about my diagnosis. Saying, I'm not God, I can't make your condition go away. Excuse me, what medical professional makes ridiculous comments like that? I took steps to address these issues and ensure that everyone receives exceptional care, by reporting them to the medical board and CEO. I am empowered to advocate for myself and others, and I am committed to creating positive change in my community. Other patients have complained about inaccurate care at this facility as well. I refuse to be sacrificed because they're unaware of my health conditions, one was DDD and Trigeminal neuralgia.
