Wonderful Library. Computers to use, can check out laptop, printer, copier, lots of DVD's and Blu-ray, books galore.

We love our towns library!!! My children adore coming here picking out a few books and staying awhile to play quietly! We love the librarians and story time! I wanted to say how proud I am of our library that they would display books that have poc narratives and authors!!! they are choosing to diversify the selections and that should be recognized!!!

Lazy and unprofessional... The dumbest smart people I've ever met! Typical county service! Worse than the DMV...

This is a great used bookstore. The selection of books for sale are very well curated and…read morereasonably priced. They had many books that I was interested in getting which I can't always say is the case for many used bookstores I have visited.

We're... shocked? While I don't expect an overly exaggerated greeting, I do expect to at least get…read morea 'hello', especially in return. We came in the night before but didn't have enough time to really look through all of the books. Today, we came back to buy a few books each and as we walked in, I said "hello!" And no one responded. I follow up with "ok great" aloud in which the worker then responded "hello?? Can i help you?" In a sarcastic and rude manner. I then am completely taken aback by the tone and say "nope, we're just browsing." And the worker responds, "ok well i was just trying to greet you so..." At the desk she was at, was a man visiting that clearly was a friend or boyfriend and they then proceeded to laugh and roll their eyes. She was clearly upset that we walked in on her conversation while she was at work. I really hope this was a one-off situation as we are really surprised at the attitude of this employee and were hoping to find a new local bookstore. I hate posting reviews like this especially when they seem like "drama" but attitude is everything. If you're not going to greet people when they walk in-- fine. But if someone says hello upon walking in, you should at least say hi back, even if you're with another customer. Might have to go somewhere else from now on! Bummer.

When visiting Paso Robles, stop here to learn a bit of the town's history! We were greeted by…read morefriendly docents, who welcomed our sweet pit bull too. We chipped in the suggested $5 each to keep the Library running. I can't believe they don't receive city, state or federal funding!! Not only was Andrew Carnegie one of the richest men in American history, but he put his money where his mouth is and gave back to communities and ensured regular folk get access to books by creating libraries. This beautiful Baroque style building was one of them. Our docent showed us the current exhibit, which highlights the history of wine, particularly Amphoras, or ancient, ingenious wine vessels. Then, she explained what historically put El Paso de Robles on the map were the hot springs people liked to stop at while trekking between SF and LA as well as the luxurious Paso Robles Inn that early Hollywood stars enjoyed staying at until it burned down. After a nice overview, our docent let us look at the other displays on our own such as Paso Robles High School memorabilia and an interesting section dedicated to the timeline and contributions of Black residents in this town. Although it is two stories, the bottom level is stored with family records people can access upon request. The main level is quite small, so you can see everything in about 30 minutes. Well worth the visit!
