It's free for disabled blue badge holders in any bay. Alternatively there is on street parking around the other side of the shopping centre if coming in from where the old Zens nightclub used to be. There are about 6 on street blue badge bays here but no normal parking. Inside the centre there are many varied shops like the 99p store great for bargains as is Wilkinsons, then there's a great Greggs for getting some lunch, there's a cheap card shop, a thorntons, a Peacocks love that store, supadrugs, McDonalds (yuk), as well as much more ie shoes, household, small stalls, nail and beauty shops, furniture etc. Well worth a visit, plus there's an indoor market area with quite a few stalls selling pet foods, clothes, shoes, mobile phone stuff etc it's small but the stalls have been there years.

All of the usual big name shops are inside with fashion, music, stationers, jewellery and electronic stores making up the bulk of businesses. You won't find everything you want here but for the basics, it is alright. Footfall appears to have fallen since the opening of Bluewater a few years back meaning that it isn't as busy as other malls. It can get busy during the school rush as Bexleyheath is the changing point for practically every route home in the Bexley borough. Plenty of parking is available in the multistory on site meaning you can shop and drop your goods off in your car before continuing shopping. Buses run to and from the whole Bexley borough although it is worth noting that The Mall is nowhere near the train station. The place has undergone a refurbishment recently which makes it look a lot nicer than it used to. It has public toilet facilities upstairs as well which is very useful for when you are spending whole days in Bexleyheath. For cold, horrible rainy days, The Mall sure beats the local High Streets.

It's a pretty massive store with a wide selection of clothes for all occasions, as well as gifts, childrens toys, plenty of bed linen and towels. It even has shoes and trainers. Everything you'll find in here is at a discount, from 20% to 90%, you do have to be prepared to rummage around though, they can be very messy places and you tend to have to fight for clothes at a busy time or when there's sales. A lot of the stuff in here is last season or may have minor imperfections, you can get more money off stuff usually if you ask for it pointing out flaws, the prices in these shops are quite negotiable. If you have the time and patience to look around you can find some great bargains!

It's a newsagents, an off licence and also stocks a number of food items such as bread, milk, tinned food and basics such as flour, cooking oil, and other cooking ingredients. To me as a forgetful person it has come to my rescue on many occasions as I'll realise that I have run out of something and will use Supersave as my first port of call to replace it. The shop also has the added convenience of being on the way to the train station from West Street so quickly grabbing a paper for the train journey, a sandwich for lunch or topping up my Oyster card is easy to do. If you happen to be traveling to work in the morning there is a recently established pastry section which sells croissants which are well worth checking out. Supersave's long opening hours also increase the convenience factor. Price wise you will not pay much different to the big supermarket chains. My only real complaint is the layout. The aisles are quite narrow and at times can be difficult to navigate which is not ideal for parents with prams.

The individual I found there almost literally threw the products to me after scanning them in such a flippant manner, that I thought I should tell him that those products did nothing to upset him. But I wanted no drama, so I kept quiet. I started to understand what the problem was with these 2 after the till assistant deliberately said no "Thank you!" after I paid, leaving an embarrassing (for him) silence during the time I picked my products from the already uncomfortable counter. 10 years after the first review, the local COOP in Abbey Wood is still delivering the same disgusting "service" and it's no wonder locals try to avoid it so much. It's a mix of overpriced products and horrendous attitudes from the people they hire that make it a really no-go shop. I hope the arrival of the Cross Rail and new shops in the area will manage to do away with this sinister place.

The stalls are all under cover and range from Delis to shops selling silk saris alongside African grocers. An interesting mix of shops due a rich tradition of immigrants from Poles to West Africans to the local area. I've been shopping here for years as they have such a lovely garden centre where I purchase all my vegetable plants for the garden every spring. There are a cafe for those seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of shopping.
