I really wish to have had the opportunity to partner with Cakeitecture for our wedding cake, but we couldn't get past the horrible customer service (and see the other one & two star reviews as there's a consistent pattern). Five weeks out from a wedding, an in-person consultation and multiple emails, yet we were deemed "not a good fit" for their business. Bought cake pops which were a big hit with the group! They were kind enough to let me in even though they were closed as it was spring break week. They also make my son in law amazing birthday cakes every year so I can attest to their creativity! read more

This stop wasn't as good as the first time. The cookies were dry but ok. We could not believe that the man working the register was handling the food with no gloves on. That would be something I would hope they will fix. Handling money and touching food is a big turn off. read more

These women are AMAZING! I've been dreaming of my wedding day (and cake) since I was a little girl. My fabulous Mother-In-Law saw a cake that Carie had done on Instagram and when I found out she uses AutoCAD for her design process, I KNEW we were meant for each other! I travel a lot for work and when it came time to do a tasting appointment, I was struggling to find the availability. No problem for Cakeitecture though, I sent my Sister-In-Law in my place and we did a FaceTime consultation while I stood on a job site. When it came time to discuss my cake, I wanted it to be very simple, tasteful (in more ways than one) and classic. Let me tell you... it was all of that and more. The cream cheese filling and Swiss meringue buttercream frosting melted in the mouth of each guest as they indulged in this delicious creation I was honored to call my wedding cake! With the trend these days of having cupcakes at your wedding, I saw on Pinterest where someone did an outline of their last name initial using cupcakes and I immediately fell in love with the look. I suggested it to Carie and team and once again, no problem for Cakeitecture to execute my vision. She dropped that design right into AutoCAD and it turned out just as I imagined it to (see photo attached). My husband graduated from Auburn so his Grooms Cake had to have some AU flare incorporated. No problem, Cakeitecture baked the most creative Grooms Cake I've ever seen (and I've seen a LOT of Grooms Cakes- see photo). The cake portrayed a detailed replica of a Toomer's Corner Oak Tree, decorated as they are after the win of a football game. My guests couldn't get over how each ounce looked so meticulous and thought out to match the theme. Everything from the tissue covering the branches to the mini replica AU sign that sits in front of Samford Hall looked perfect. Each creation they made for us truly was a piece of art. On top of this, Carie was 9 months pregnant at the time of my wedding and order delivery. Once again, Cakeitecture came through and drove our cakes from Auburn to Bremen (104 miles one way), coordinated the drop off and setup with our caterer and drove back to Auburn. I didn't have to worry about coordinating with her, she was in and out and everything looked amazing when we arrived for our reception. We just celebrated our 1 year anniversary and of course, due to the cake being so good and our guests eating every crumb, we needed a new cake top layer to eat and celebrate with, per tradition. I called the ladies up, they had it ready for me in a day and I was able to enjoy all of the goodness once again! I will now be a customer for life! Very disappointed. I ordered an eight inch round lemon cake for my son's 21st birthday. The communication was lacking during the ordering process. I emailed and spoke with the office manager. I told her about my son's interests and stated I was available for design questions multiple times. I was told that they would do "something nice" for $150. When I walked in, the baker said, "with your budget it was plain, so I made it quilted and didn't charge you". I thought this was strange since $ 150 for an 8 inch cake didn't feel like a limited budget. The cake was all white with a quilted pattern on the sides and three fondants emblems placed on the cake with toothpicks. Anyone sitting across from the my son would be starting at toothpicks??? The cake looked like she had a wedding cake topper in the freezer and had placed the picks on top. Hardly a cake for a 21 year old guy. There was a blue ribbon placed around the base of the cake. When I told her I was not happy she seemed annoyed. She did work to make a few changes. I was embarrassed to serve the cake but I had no choice. I waited to review in hopes the cake would be so delicious that it would make up for the appearance. No such luck. The cake was just ok. I should have spent the 150 dollars at Publix bakery; I would have had a much larger and tastier cake. read more

Video your consultation. One week before the party, they had forgotten important and explicit details about the cake we discussed over various photos and would not admit that they had got it wrong. Their pricing is highly subjective based on decorations. I prefer cake makers that price per serving regardless of how simple or extravagant the cake. The cake turned out fairly pretty even though it was not exactly what I ordered. When sliced, it was very stiff and the filling or frosting between the layers reminded me of tub caulk. Not that I have ever tasted tub caulk, but this substance between the layers did not taste like food. read more
