When this business was The Buttertart Factory, it was amazing. I'm not quite sure what's going on,…read morebut the standards have fallen drastically while the prices have climbed. It's very disappointing. For a while, I lived for their apple fritters. In May of 2024, I discovered that they no longer put apples in their apple fritters -- perhaps as a cost-saving measure. My family purchased half a dozen fritters, which turned out to be nothing but large slabs of dough with a cinnamon glaze. In June, all varieties of fritters (thankfully) appear to have been removed from the menu. The butter tarts, which once had a flaky pastry and an insanely good, buttery filling, have become worse than the generic tarts found in a No Frills supermarket. Clearly, costs are clearly being cut. Worst of all, the location (in Druro) has added an extremely pricey take-out stand. One of my friends paid a whopping 16 dollars for a chicken burger. No fries, no drink: just a piece of lettuce, a tomato, a gob of mayo and (an admittedly large) slice of fried chicken on a bun. I believe that the owners see this as an easy money grab, as they serve those commuting to Bancroft and back during cottage season. You'd think that for 16 dollars a pop for a chicken burger the owners would provide more than an outhouse to customers. You'd also hope that they'd make sure the outhouse was serviced often enough to prevent feces from piling to the rim. Nope. For obvious reasons, I will be ending my patronage of this establishment.

My son loves the cinnamon buns! Not much gluten free wise, they bring in gluten free tarts which…read moreare delicious of course just be nice to see more options. Friendly staff always.

Fave: Butter tarts and the service. Least fave: hash browns…read more I went here for breakfast recently, as I was staying in Lindsay for a family function. The service was warm and friendly. I felt like I was a regular! Super win. The breakfast prices were very good. The coffee was decent, and the food was OK. The hash browns were a bit dry and under-cooked, but not a deal-breaker. The eggs, bacon, and toast were fab, though. But the butter tart! WOAH! Amazing. I love these runny butter tarts that do this amazing dance on your tongue of sweet and tangy. Tender pastry, too. Highly recommended. I am only sad I didn't bring home a dozen. My waistline is probably pleased that I did not, however. Anyhow - if you are in Lindsay and need an inexpensive meal, or just an amazing dessert, you could do a whole lot worse than Buttertarts N More!

What a busy little restaurant, I sat down and had a burger it was fanatastic. The waitress was…read morerunning all over to serve the people come in, she certainly did a great job! But I went there for butter-tarts and that is my fav pastry, I was disappointed in the tart, for a good butter tart has to have a flaky pastry and a gooey inside which it did but the flavour which is hard to mess up tasted strange like maybe lemon juice was in it or possibly vinegar it overpowered the best part of the butter tart. So with that being said I would not purchase butter tarts from there I bought 6 and my parents said the same about the tarts. Normally we fight over butter tarts in our family.

A lovely experience: cute store front and inside. Lots of choices of goods: savory and sweet, and they all look good which is a good first impression. Then you taste them and it verifies that they not only look good but are well made and taste delicious. They had pasteis de nata (Portuguese custard tarts), and they were very good (still not as good as the ones you eat in Portugal). They have a wide selection of butter tarts and they are well made and tasty. Their giant merengues are what a merengue should be: crunchy on the outside with a chewy center. They have a nice selection of quiches: individual size and regular size. They also sell their quiches frozen. We tasted a couple of their quiches and they were outstanding. Their caramel squares are something we have never had before and they were out of this world.
