Cream cheese frosting and lemon curd filling were tasty but could not hide the raw flour taste for us. Voiced my concerns, was condescendingly told it is dense moist sponge cake and not a Costco or grocery store cake. I see other negative reviews received this reply. Returned more than 3/4 of the cake for Andrea to try, and was told her taste testers said it was "yummy" and she thought it tasted fine. $96 for a small cake wasted. Would not recommend.

OMG THE PASTEIS DE NATA IS AMAZING!!!!…read more I can tell you about how this is a nice little bakeshop that transports you to Portugal with the huge flag on the wall and futbol blaring on the screen and all the Portuguese that you overhear the patrons speaking. I can also tell you about how the baked treats are really super tasty like the apple tart and napoleon and cheese tart, and how there was no 'miss' in the 15 assorted pieces that we got. I can also tell you that the prices are affordable, and definitely better value than the bakeries in Toronto. Yes, all of this is true. But they also don't matter because, damn, those custard tarts are amazing!

My Mom was quite particular in wanting a lemon cake, not too heavy but just perfectly sweet. It was as ordered. In addition to the cake were these wonderful tarts that allowed for the guests to choose. =The cake when on the plate looked like you would never be able to get through a piece because it was so rich but that was not the case. I also loved the lemon taste, as lemon can so many times be too tart or too bland - it was just right! Highly recommended!

Parking can be found on Main Street, if you're lucky you'll get one! The choices were so hard as everything looked delicious. We ended up picking the chocolate chip coffee cake. It was $7! Service was friendly and quick. We took it home and shared it, the flavour was good, not too sweet which is what we usually aim for. However there seems to be some sugar on it that tasted a bit off, although we enjoyed it overall. Hoping to get a different item next time!

We were quite excited to come by the bakery and pick up some goodies. They opened up at 10am and we…read morearrived around 11;30am. They were sold out of most things already despite being open until 4pm. Usually that's a great sign that locals love the goodies here, but it also felt like a wasted drive. We were only able to grab one loaf of bread and a profiterole. People who came in after us just simply left. So many bakeries will make a limited quantity of their items which they know will sell out in the morning - rather than planning a regular supply throughout the day for people who can't zip over first thing. It forces a line up and trendy appearance. It's a bit frustrating... even if the baked goods are tasty, I wouldn't try racing here first thing. It feels manipulative. There are so many great bakeries with goodies planned to be available into the afternoon, so there's no need to rush or line up. But I will review the two things we were able to secure which were honestly good. The foccacia bread tastes good, nice and fresh. The rosemary one is a regular here and I like having it with some good quality aged balsamic and olive oil. The strawberry lavender profiterole didn't have lavender flavour at all but the fresh strawberry and light whip cream was nice. If you live nearby, then you're in luck! Hopefully they'll start preparing more to last throughout the day in the future.

Their sourdough is just as impressive: the Tin Loaf and Rosemary Garlic Foccomica were soft, bouncy, and beautifully textured. Service is warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming.
