I have recently become disappointed with this office, specifically, their billing practices. Please check your bills & call if you have questions concerning them. Let me explain. I had a yearly physical on May 4th of this year. During my physical I was asked questions about my health, as most physicals do. I then explained my situation with my back and that I had been diagnosed at the ER with severe sciatica. I explained further that I was struggling with pain and I had gone to chiropractic care, massage therapy and a combination of yoga/strength training. Yet, with all of these things, I still struggled with pain -- I sit at a desk for 8 hours of my day. I believe this plays a huge part in my struggle. I told Dr. Wells that I had requested accommodation for a different chair at work and that my chiro had suggested a ball chair. Dr. Wells asked if I had paperwork for her to fill out, I said yes, and she completed it for me. I then left my appointment. Later, I received a bill in the mail. My physical should have been covered by my insurance. I had been charged for two separate appointments. I called the billing office to see why I was charged for two separate appointments when I was there for one. The woman I spoke with said it was because Dr. Wells went, and I quote, "above and beyond her duties," for me in my physical. Excuse me? Please tell me, am I not supposed to share my ailments with my doctor? Are you not, as a physician, supposed to help? All I see from this is greed. And I find it unfortunate that as a doctor, she could be seen as going above and beyond her duties by signing a piece of paper. And that this signature is worth $108.95! Oh, and by the way, because of her LACK of going above and beyond for me and my request, I was denied a request for a "ball chair" because she failed to provide support as a MD. I hope they enjoy the money. P.S. I agree on a previous review on the receptionist. Be prepared for an attitude. I dread calling the office. P.PS. Pay attention to what you say in your appointment because they can bill you based on what was "discussed". Please see the letter attached. If I had known I would have been charged for bringing up the fact that my back hurt & if I needed to do anything further, etc., I certainly wouldn't have.

New patients and Tricare recipients WARNING!…read more They advertise that it takes ten days and mailing time after you "apply" to become a patient within this facility. That is a LIE! Fourteen days ago I arrived and completed the "application" showing them I have three (03) medical insurance plans and told them I would take any physician who specialized in internal medicine and would accept me as a patient. I just got off the phone with them and I was turned down by a physician and my "application" went into the "bucket". This wonderful receptionist had to obtain guidance from someone and now I can have the "privilege" of calling them tomorrow to see if another doctor will accept me as a patient. Since I am in need now, new to the area and carry three medical payers I guess I will just be one who keeps tying up the ER at GENESIS for care! Hey, here is a novel idea, how about you pull your clinicians into a new patient lottery on a weekly basis and if the requested/primary physician declined you could let someone else decide if they want the new patient "on the spot" instead of making them wait another week in the "bucket". OR simply tell me you don't want me as a patient via a telephone call and I will look elsewhere.... Must just be my 56 year old in decent health mind BUT sure seems to me making someone having a bit of an issue wait is not the way to rack up a decent YELP rating or word of mouth "recommendation" list. Again, I have a med issue that needs care, have three (03) insurance policies and can't get these CLOWNS to even tell me how long it takes to be accepted into their facility. Please send me a denial letter and let's be done and how about CALLING a newly accepted patient as someone may need your help. When I was in need of a new PCP, I was fortunate to find him. I find him quite congenial and willing to share information in medical detail that is easy to understand. The wait time is always less than 15 minutes, any blood tests are available to him; in fact, all of my blood tests since 1996 are easy to find for him.

Because of my insurance the medications needed a preapproval by Dr. Grady in order to release them. I called three days later and was told that he worked half-day twice a week but he would get to the paperwork. I called again the following week and was told by his receptionist Cindy that the paperwork was probably on his desk when I requested to speak to Dr. Grady she stated he does not speak his patients, then I requested to speak to one of the nurses and she denied me the call stating that no one can make Dr. Grady fill out the form and she said I would just have to wait.
