Excellent stopping point on the Ring of Kerry.
With plenty of parking, you can stand and take in the amazing views before heading to the pub, especially if the weather is good or if the sun is going down. Curiously there is an array of stone balancing going on from the viewing point. Not sure if it's all the one person or if other people kept adding to the collection as they stopped by, but it looks really cool.
Back to Caitins. We headed in for a drink and some pizza in the Pub.
The place wasn't very full on what I think was a Thursday evening. But there was a nice atmosphere all the same. We sat by a window to watch the last of the days light disappear. I couldn't help listen to the locals sitting at the bar talking to each other and having the craic, their Kerry accents catching my ear. Wonderful.
We had two delicious pizzas (see pics), which came out piping hot, the bases were especially good.
We didn't visit the gift shop, hostel or dog trial demo's, but it certainly sounds like a a Ring Of Kerry bus tour paradise.
Staff were very pleasant and nice.
