Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, it was clear the room had not been properly cleaned. We found hair in the shower and bathroom sink, which was unpleasant, but we initially tried to give housekeeping the benefit of the doubt. As we looked around the room, it became obvious that the previous guests had stayed in the room with a romance package. There were rose petals under the bed, bobby pins left on the floor, and rose petals still scattered around the jetted tub. The worst part was finding hair in the filter of the whirlpool tub and on it. It was honestly disgusting and made us question whether the room had been cleaned at all before our arrival. To the staff's credit, they did move us to a different room. While the second room was cleaner, it still had cleanliness issues that should not have been overlooked. We found a hair in the bed, hair in the shower, and trash that had not been taken out from the previous guest. At that point, it was clear that housekeeping standards were a recurring problem rather than a mistake. The staff's willingness to move us was appreciated, but the overall experience was disappointing. Cleanliness is one of the most basic expectations when staying at a hotel, especially when paying for a premium suite. I hope management takes a serious look at housekeeping procedures and room inspections so future guests do not have the same experience.

Check in was fast and easy, probably helped that I booked it online while driving to Gillette. Now I love buildings and places that have that old town characteristics and this building definitely had that feel. The room (1 queen) and it had everything you would expect. Tv, fridge, microwave, etc. I was afraid the room might smell a bit musty but not at all. Our room was very clean, in fact maybe even better than some of the Hilton's I've stayed at. The bed was comfortable and the a/c holds up very well. We ran it on high almost all night, we like our room between 50-60 and it kept us cool all night. As a female, I did check in and walk around without my husband and at no time did I feel unsafe....of course though I'm from the St. Louis area lol. I can't speak for how the breakfast was since the hubs has an unnatural love for McDonald's hash browns ‍‍but the small area looked very clean and stocked.
