I loved this place! I've been trying to make it out forever and finally had the chance. It was busy…read moreon a Sunday morning, we waited a good 30-40 minutes, but it was well worth the wait and once we were sat the food came out impressively fast! My friend ordered the breakfast burrito, it was huge! For a side she had the sweet potato tots. She let me steal a bite of both and yum! I opted for the Hot Honey Chicken with Pimento Benedict and wow! I was nervous the pimento cheese would be overpowering, but it wasn't at all! It was a nice, creamy complement to the spicy crispy chicken. The hollandaise cut through some of the richness for a pleasant mellower. Prices are reasonable and our waitress was great! The restaurant is larger than it looks but it does get quite crowded. Can't wait to come back here!

Another of the good downtown restaurants that I have fought the parking to try - downtown WS's…read moresuccess is also a problem going forward - parking downtown needs to be addressed intelligently, which the local officials don't bring to the table, instead they are going to make changes which will just make matters worse! This is a solid restaurant with much to offer in the brunch/breakfast area - an area that has become popular and chic, and it almost always means much will be expensive, usual very expensive considering the less than costly menu ingredients that drive food choices here, and other such brunch spots. Brunch is seen as more than just a meal for some folks who are all into what is trendy, and restaurant are aware of this and prices are raised due to the "experience" element! I have tried several items here including their version of Huevos Rancheros (not a fan of how they make it, pulled pork is a party foul), the Eggs Benedict (decent but over priced for sure, $17 with bacon added), and several Omelette choices, can reach $15. This is obviously a popular spot in downtown Winston, but I find it generally overpriced, loud, and the service is inconsistent. I like a good adventure, but somethings simply are not worth the cost! Note that the prices for individual items are written, very lightly with no $ sign to the right of the item. This is done intentionally to make the customer pay less attention to what they spending. Many restaurants are using some form of this approach!

We came in on an unseasonably chilly May morning nursing a bit of a hangover. Krankies was delightfully warm with plenty of seating. I got the Hangover Cure biscuit, which had eggs, fried chicken, bacon, cheese, and gravy on the side. I also got a hot latte and then topped it off with a cinnamon roll. My partner got the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit with an iced latte. The lattes: go with a flavored one if you grab a coffee here. Their plain latte was not that good but their vanilla latte was very good. Biscuits: WOW! The Hangover Cure is hefty with plenty of biscuit to go around - I had some to take home with me. It was absolutely everything I needed after a night of imbibing with friends. My partner also enjoyed his biscuit. Cinnamon roll: very good! They had a variety of baked goods to choose from. Definitely worth the add. All in all, I think we spent $40, which feels reasonable for the amount and quality of food we received. Definitely worth a stop in if you happen to be in the area.

Definitely enjoy the sandwiches and the fact that they are huge. Love the variety of craft coffee beverages. I would also suggest grabbing the wedges with the green sauce. I got that and the classic sandwich with the gravy, which I did not really notice affect the flavor profile. Next time I'm in town, i'm going for something with the blueberry biscuit.

Plenty of cafeteria style seating inside and a few outdoor tables as well. Staff is friendly and they are very efficient. Once you place your order at the counter, they are fairly quick at putting it out. There is always some cool vibrant Latin music in the background. The breakfast and lunch choices are plentiful. They have daily specials as well. You cannot go wrong and will find many choices that will probably fill your palate. It definitely takes me back to the cafeteria days from school, just a lot more better options. In the mornings it's a quick stop for your breakfast on the go or just eat there if you're retired and a professional bum like me. Stop in, you won't e disappointed!

I did see they had a pretty robust menu but I did like the daily specials, kind of like a meat and two or a meat and three. I ordered the pork loin with rice and gravy and corn. The pork loin was one of the biggest I'd ever had. It was very tasty but just a slight bit salty. The cornbread was amazing, the staff was super friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back

It's nestled just inside the senior services building which in itself is beautiful! There are lots of delicious fresh pastries to choose from. I chose the huge blueberry nut muffin and sweet potato tart. The muffin was filled with fresh plump blueberries, and nuts that were fresh crunchy and a wonderful marriage. The sweet potato tart was spicy and I could really appreciate the nutmeg cinnamon and allspice flavors in a creamy sweet potato base. The crust was also very well prepared as it was just crunchy enough. The owners Al and Eric who told me his nickname is turmeric were also there and they were so pleasant and kind. Eric told me that his nickname is turmeric, and I complimented him on the excellent play on his name. He told me that they have events often and tonight they will be having a tribute to D'Angelo with the DJ and everything! Later in the month, they are going to have a Prince tribute as well! He also mentioned a paint and sip event where the artist will be there. They have beautiful art on the walls and the vibe here is cozy and pleasant. There was beautiful music playing at just the right volume as you entered. The prices are also very good as I paid less than $20 for my mocha latte which was called the Twin City mint because it had mint in it muffin and sweet potato tart! the Twin City mint was only one of the fun Winston-Salem based names that all of their drinks have. The Twin City mint was mocha latte with mint added to it. I also love the fact that I was able to order my drink modified with one pump of dark chocolate instead of 2 1/2 pump of mint instead of two. I love the fact that they allow you to customize their drinks. This is very important as it is very customer oriented! they are open Tuesdays through Fridays from 7 AM until 2 PM but on the nights that they have events of course they're open longer. You have to follow them on Facebook to find out about all of the fun events they will be having! I will definitely be back!

Ordering was easy at the counter, and our food came out really quickly. It had a nice small town locally owned diner feel. Also, they have a bunch of Mexican dishes available as well.
