I loved this place! I've been trying to make it out forever and finally had the chance. It was busy…read moreon a Sunday morning, we waited a good 30-40 minutes, but it was well worth the wait and once we were sat the food came out impressively fast! My friend ordered the breakfast burrito, it was huge! For a side she had the sweet potato tots. She let me steal a bite of both and yum! I opted for the Hot Honey Chicken with Pimento Benedict and wow! I was nervous the pimento cheese would be overpowering, but it wasn't at all! It was a nice, creamy complement to the spicy crispy chicken. The hollandaise cut through some of the richness for a pleasant mellower. Prices are reasonable and our waitress was great! The restaurant is larger than it looks but it does get quite crowded. Can't wait to come back here!

Another of the good downtown restaurants that I have fought the parking to try - downtown WS's…read moresuccess is also a problem going forward - parking downtown needs to be addressed intelligently, which the local officials don't bring to the table, instead they are going to make changes which will just make matters worse! This is a solid restaurant with much to offer in the brunch/breakfast area - an area that has become popular and chic, and it almost always means much will be expensive, usual very expensive considering the less than costly menu ingredients that drive food choices here, and other such brunch spots. Brunch is seen as more than just a meal for some folks who are all into what is trendy, and restaurant are aware of this and prices are raised due to the "experience" element! I have tried several items here including their version of Huevos Rancheros (not a fan of how they make it, pulled pork is a party foul), the Eggs Benedict (decent but over priced for sure, $17 with bacon added), and several Omelette choices, can reach $15. This is obviously a popular spot in downtown Winston, but I find it generally overpriced, loud, and the service is inconsistent. I like a good adventure, but somethings simply are not worth the cost! Note that the prices for individual items are written, very lightly with no $ sign to the right of the item. This is done intentionally to make the customer pay less attention to what they spending. Many restaurants are using some form of this approach!

We came in on an unseasonably chilly May morning nursing a bit of a hangover. Krankies was delightfully warm with plenty of seating. I got the Hangover Cure biscuit, which had eggs, fried chicken, bacon, cheese, and gravy on the side. I also got a hot latte and then topped it off with a cinnamon roll. My partner got the sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit with an iced latte. The lattes: go with a flavored one if you grab a coffee here. Their plain latte was not that good but their vanilla latte was very good. Biscuits: WOW! The Hangover Cure is hefty with plenty of biscuit to go around - I had some to take home with me. It was absolutely everything I needed after a night of imbibing with friends. My partner also enjoyed his biscuit. Cinnamon roll: very good! They had a variety of baked goods to choose from. Definitely worth the add. All in all, I think we spent $40, which feels reasonable for the amount and quality of food we received. Definitely worth a stop in if you happen to be in the area.

I did see they had a pretty robust menu but I did like the daily specials, kind of like a meat and two or a meat and three. I ordered the pork loin with rice and gravy and corn. The pork loin was one of the biggest I'd ever had. It was very tasty but just a slight bit salty. The cornbread was amazing, the staff was super friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back

You order at the counter and then pay and serve your own drink. The food is made fresh with the exception of some of the daily lunch specials that are already made and on display in hot dishes behind the counter. They are great for both breakfast and lunch. They have all your basic breakfast dishes and also do some traditional Mexican dishes. Food is made fairly quickly to take out or eat there. There are a few tables inside and some smaller ones outside for when the weather is nice. A lot of our local law enforcement love to eat here also. The staff is very friendly and if you are a regular then they treat you like family. So far every dish I have gotten I have been happy with, and they are very affordable. I only have one complaint and it was with some pork chops on the daily specials that were way too salty. Also an FYI.....there is a paid parking garage behind the restaurant, there is also street parking available but you take the risk of getting a ticket if you don't pay on the App. If that happens then your meal won't be so affordable.

The eggs were cooked perfectly. The pancakes were almost a little bit corn or yellow, but really amazing. They didn't seem to be buttermilk pancakes, which was refreshing. Ordering was easy at the counter, and our food came out really quickly. It had a nice small town locally owned diner feel. Also, they have a bunch of Mexican dishes available as well. I'll definitely pop in here again and get a non-breakfast dish. Super happy to have a nice little diner in our community!

It's on the first floor and there's a good amount of seating available. Kind of a no-frills but clean and open space. There is a small merch section with some ceramic mugs and other stuff available! The owners are very friendly and helpful. We ordered a decaf americano, mocha, and blueberry muffin. We sat at the back table on the couch and the owner's wife explained how to play one of the cute little table games with the mushrooms. The drinks were good, blueberry muffin was ok, they did heat it upon request. They have good books, games, and magazines around. Parking around here is confusing and difficult - we parked and walked about 5 mins away because the adjacent lot said no public parking (but take a ticket to get validated at Truist?) and the immediate street parking was cash only, no change given. Shorter service hours, 7a-3pm M-F, so not open on the weekends. I think the owner said they are limited by the building hours. Overall, good new addition to Winston. Wouldn't mind walking over again when it warms up a bit! @azfitfoodfun
