I ordered the Happy Waffle and couldn't believe I almost finished the whole thing. Unlike America, they don't use much sugar so it was completely tolerable and I didn't feel guilty or even gluttonous I added scoops of ice cream (vanilla and mango), strawberries, mango, mandarin oranges and other fruit, white chocolate, assorted local chocolates, and sprinkles. The personal touch did it for me though. I could not stop grinning and taking pictures lol it was soooooo good looking and I didn't know where to start. The owner was super welcoming and hospitable. He brought me hot tea to go with my waffle. I look forward to returning to Germany just so I can get another waffle.

In the middle of a shady street right off the main shopping street here. We both had scrambled eggs with bacon set on a delicious potato pancake. So, with one bite you get the whole dish! So good! Good place for big or small hunger :-) Long story: as I live just around the corner I come here pretty often. Cafe Peri offers big tables for families. Now they even have with glass doors separated smoking area, which I find good, because I don't smoke and don't have to breathe it in. On the other hand the smokers don't have to freeze outside in the winter time. I mean, great to motivate them to quit smoking of course, but... hey, they're people too! Kumpir is definitely a highlight of this restaurant. It's enormously huge backed potato with different kind of fillings that you are free to choose from the list. Usually, I can't even finish it - too big :-) they serve great Menemen and other kinds of omelettes. All the dishes are served with fresh bread. Waffles are dreamy. You have to be either lucky or reserve the table. And in addition to that, if you wait on the table, you have to pay attention that other visitors won't snap a table just under your nose, because nobody really controls the process of sitting. Second of all, waitress forget orders pretty often. I mean, I know that there are lots of people and the work is rather stressful, but forgetting happens constantly. Not just from time time. I guess, they could have just organize it a little bit better.
