I ordered the Happy Waffle and couldn't believe I almost finished the whole thing. Unlike America, they don't use much sugar so it was completely tolerable and I didn't feel guilty or even gluttonous I added scoops of ice cream (vanilla and mango), strawberries, mango, mandarin oranges and other fruit, white chocolate, assorted local chocolates, and sprinkles. The personal touch did it for me though. I could not stop grinning and taking pictures lol it was soooooo good looking and I didn't know where to start. The owner was super welcoming and hospitable. He brought me hot tea to go with my waffle. I look forward to returning to Germany just so I can get another waffle.

I could have done without the ice cream, but it made my dessert that much better. The area to order is somewhat narrow, so it could be a tight squeeze if people were also exiting where you order. In addition to waffles and ice cream, I noticed they offer coffee, beer (I saw 3 bottled beers to choose from), and hard alcohol. With a narrow ordering area, I thought the restaurant would be small. It wasn't. There's a decent sized room in additional to a smaller room inside. There's also outdoor seating. Service was good, with the workers being friendly. Because of the seating style, it's sometimes a bit hard to get the attention of the servers but they do walk around to make sure everything is okay quite often. The food is delicious as well! Also, we aren't from Germany so it was a bit of a surprise to us that you have to order water separately and it isn't served as a part of the meal. The water that you can order comes in a very, very small bottle and they charge about two euros for it. It really didn't feel worth it for the price we were paying for just water but apparently this is a German thing? We found the same at a few other restaurants as well.
