There are plenty of other places to eat in the neighborhood, but we saw Maque Café with its outdoor seating near a fountain and among numerous trees and we were sold. The menu is simple and clean (with items leaning towards European while still having Mexican cuisine options) with lots of healthier options. I ordered a chicken breast stuffed with goat cheese in a tamarind sauce with some healthy grains and steamed vegetables. It was exactly the kind of light dish I hoping for, and I really enjoyed it with a freshly squeezed juice and a coffee. The service was good, and it was just a lovely place to enjoy a meal in San Ángel - the kind of place I'd love to sit with a book and relax for a few hours! I'd be happy to return.

Taste is delicious and with organic products. My only observation would be the prices are really high for the meals and the restaurant location. I stumbled across this place by accident. The owner is very friendly. A great cup of coffee as…read moretheir roots are from a coffee producing region of Mexico. The food was delicious and fast. Pumpkin pie tasted amazing I asked them to make an Irish coffee. They thought I was a bit crazy for having whiskey in coffee but an Irish coffee is always good. It's not on the menu but the owner said if you order a Tony coffee they will know what you are asking for and will make it. I look forward to making my way back here soon.
