After strolling along the shopping street, I was walking uphill to look at the castle when I passed Le Relais. I noticed a board on the wall with many notices acclaiming the restaurant (references from the Gault, Michelin, etc). When I peeked inside the restaurant, I noticed the lovely old world decor with lots of white linen and silver ware. For lunch I decided to splurge on the 35 euro prix fixe menu. This included an appetizer, an plat and also dessert. In between course, i got an amuse bouche, a consomme, a sorbet to clean my palate, a small dish with homemade chocolate candy. Everything looked beautiful and tasted delicious. At lunch, I also had a unique experience of sitting in one of the outside terrace tables with a small sliver of view of the harbor and the stream of tourists walking by. This was really different and enjoyable. If you happen to come to Cannes, I highly recommend stopping here at the Le Relais des Semailles. You'll leave with wonderful memories of the food and the experience.
