From the fresh baked bread and buttery croissants to the perfectly made omelets and refreshing fresh-squeezed orange juice--everything was outstanding. For only 6,000 pesos, you can get a huge quiche with a side salad, a sandwich on French bread, or a big salad. Each of the options has multiple varieties to choose from. I was torn between the veggie quiche (zucchini, tomato, basil) and the chicken avocado sandwich. The hubs couldn't decide if he wanted the chicken curry salad or the roast beef one. Ultimately, we ended up with zucchini quiche and curry salad. Both were great! The hubby's salad had coconut flakes and deliciously seasoned curry chicken. I was impressed with the size of the quiche and the perfectly flaky crust. To drink, he had raspberry juice and I had limeade. After our lunch dishes were cleared, we received our coffees and a little coconut cookie on the side. A perfect ending to a lovely lunch. I definitely recommend you sit outside under one of the umbrellas. The outside space is so cozy and inviting. If you have some time (1.5 hours), you might also check out the MUI.

We started as a group of 5 and quickly grew to 9, and they accommodated us without any issues. The staff was consistently friendly, flexible, and welcoming. The sandwiches are beautifully crafted with very generous portions. All brunch sandwiches come with any coffee you want, including specialty coffees, and a freshly made fruit juice. The classic eggs Benedict includes two toasts, and you can choose a different base for each one (avocado, bacon, smoked salmon, ham, etc.), which is a great touch. The "Top Winner" is an outstanding deal: one egg Benedict plus a supersized croissant with the spread of your choice. We stayed chatting for a while after eating, and they never rushed us to leave, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

They speak pretty good Chilean Spanish and are very friendly. To my understanding, the original Etienne Marcel is in Ñuñoa and they opened this location a little over a week ago. I tend to say that I'm not a dessert person, but this place could change my opinion of sweets forever. They have a variety of savory and sweet items. When we went, we ordered a quiche, an almond croissant, a pistachio eclair and a lemon eclair. The quiche has an amazing crust and the filling is just as amazing. The almond croissant has a sweet filling that just makes your mouth watery. The eclairs are out of this world. The pistachio one has a strawberry jam filling and it is topped with a pistachio icing and it was my favorite! They had so many other options, so I am pretty bummed that I couldn't try them all. My only complaint was that the cortado seemed to have been made of regular coffee and not good espresso. Don't be too picky about the bare walls. They just opened the place and are still probably working on their decor. Either way, please do yourself a favor and check this place out! You will not regret it.

The neighborhood by Bustamante park is very quiet which is what make it the ideal location for a coffee shop. The building is two stories and you can sit and enjoy a coffee on two different outside patios, one upstairs, one on the ground floor, or you can enjoy yourself inside. If you take your coffee inside the coffee shop you will literally feel like you are inside a library. Enjoy the tranquility of drinking a hot cappuccino while you enjoy a good book in a peaceful setting. They have a fun selection of pastries and muffins to accompany your coffee and the service is pretty good. The best part is definitely the location. I love being surrounded by trees and greenery, it is literally a hidden escape from the busy city.
A humble, quaint cafe tucked away in the Providencia neighborhood if Santiago…read more Rendebú was one of the first places I visited when I arrived in Santiago. It was a rainy day and nothing sounded better than a nice hot cup of tea and a rich pastry. This cafe has an awesome selection of different pastries including one of Chiles specialties, Torta de Manjar. Aka a cake layered with dulce de leche, nuts and thin puff pastry bits. A real sweet bite, but perfect for those cold winter afternoons. I've also tried their chocolate ganache cake with raspberry sauce and really enjoyed the richness of it without it being too overwhelming. One of my fondest experiences from Rendebú was the variety of loose leaf tea they offered. When you sit down, servers bring you a tray full of different types of loose leaf teas in little jars for you to smell and decide between. I got the looseleaf Bombay Chai with steamed soy milk and reused the tea leaves a few times after, and to my surprise they held their flavor, even after the 3rd refill! Of course, the cafe wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable if it weren't for the adorable decor. A mix of 1950s memorabilia and paisley walls paper make it a charming and cozy setting to enjoy your afternoon tea! During my stay in Santiago I returned once more to Cafe Rendebú, and if I ever revisit the amazing country of Chile I will surely be back! -Parisa

This cafe located in the otherwise drab Patronato, is one of my favorites and one of the first of its kind in Recoleta. As you pass by, you can't help put stop and stare at their perfectly made and beautifully designed pastries. As you walk in, you only find more interesting options. This is a Korean cafe and pastry shop where their description is in both Korean as well as Spanish (pretty cool if you ask me). Also, another thing that is interesting is the way they pre-package their pastries, giving them a more processed look even though they are made by them with few preservatives. They also have a great coffee selection of both sweet (machiatos, flavored coffees) as well as the normal espresso and latte - the perfect way to start your morning. I recommend accompanying your morning coffee with one of their many different bread options (they have both sweet and savory) My fav is their cheese bread. You can also buy loafs to take home. For the hotter days I always get one of their natural fruit smoothies (you can also go all out and get a surprisingly good milkshake). Tip: They have fairly cheap and beautiful personal cakes that are the perfect cake to give a coworker or friend. You can also order ahead of time and get a larger one made. Don't forget to take pictures because you won't find cakes like this anywhere else!
