【Grattons】 was our appetizer with red wine. It was fried fat, pretty scary, and I tried one of them. At the beginning it was really oily, and I didn't like the touch of it, but then after a few chews it turned to be pretty yummy. You should at least give it a try.
【Gratin du moment】It was served with main courses. That day's gratin was potato in mahonnaise and cheese. Very delicious.

【Coupe de Cerdon Rosé】I really like sparkling rose wines, even if it's weird for appetizer in a meal. As long as it's festive and yum, I'll take it.
【Salade lyonnaise lardons croutons et œuf poche】This is a traditional lyonnais salad, containing fresh lettuce with a poached egg, croutons and crispy lardons. It tasted good and was close to American salad. The sausage was really nice. I enjoyed it much.
【Tripes gratinées à la Lyonnaise】a lyon style tripe gratin. It made me crazy, much big step to try this. I didn't really know what part of the beef I was eating. It was salty, cheesy, and I'd liked it more if it had some sugar in the gratin. Anyways, this dish was a bit insane even for a Chinese like me.
【Baba-au-rhum】OMG...This definitely made my whole dinning here even crazier. I mean I am a big drunker... but not in a formal dinner in a formal dish. And this just made my eye wide open again. Baba-au-rhum, a big thick slice of bread diving in many many rum, this was just great! I felt like drinking pure rum while still trying to eat some normal bread. It was a shame that I didn't finish it, because it was too strong to me. I joked to the waiter that I'd rather take shots of rum.

【Pieds de veau mayonnaise, museau et cervelas】This is a traditional Lyonnais entrée, which has veal trotter, beef brawn and pork cervelas. All of them were made in sausage, added with a ravigote sauce, making it very soft, elastic and tasty.
【Quenelle au brochet sauce aurore】It's a pike quenelle with Aurore sauce, very tasty, puffy and fresh. Both Carry & I liked it a lot.
【Tarte à la praline】Praline seemed to be a very popular element in Lyonnaise deserts. I saw some boulangers selling every kind of bread, tarte, puff & desserts with this red praline. read more
