Summary: If you want a breakfast in berlin thats gonna make you say WOW... this is the place!…read more I can say I have probably had the best bagel of my whole life!! And thats saying a lot considering I grew up on New York Bagels. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, the presentation is just gorgeous, and it was absolutely delicious. The cream cheese has a hint of lemon oil in it that just brings the entire dish together. The space itself is super cozy and cute, i sat on a high top chair by the window and enjoyed watching passersby's eyes open wide at the amazing food The menu is very limited but it all looked amazing, other peoples dishes at tables beside me looked large and beautiful as well so I have no doubt everything here is a hit! This is one of my last meals in berlin but I wish I could come here every morning!!! Service was fast and friendly as well :-) 10/10 homerun cafe

Since moving to Berlin from San Francisco, I've noticed a clear distinction in the brunch culture…read moreof both cities. Would you like a crowded café with an Instagram aesthetic (ranging from the food to the decor) and a fast-paced meal or something more Berlin -- a lowkey living room-esque vibe with meat and cheese galore? Thankfully, bRICK manages to bridge these two identities for a peaceful weekend brunch that'll make you feel like you're right at home. I stopped by on a recent Saturday morning to find it half empty, more or less. The customer service was a little brusque (not surprising) though not overtly so as its hipster decor might allude to. I had the "Brickfast" -- the most Californian option on the menu (with Berlin prices). It included two fried eggs, grilled cheese (as in, thin blocks), avocado, hummus, homemade tomato cream cheese (!), olives, bread, and a small salad. The tomato cream cheese was definitely a nice touch, though I was a little disappointed that the tomato taste was just a bit too subtle for me to actually discern. And the eggs left me wanting more... more water, actually, because they were way too salty! But points for effort because there was so much food, I guess?

Came here for brunch about a month ago when the bf and I were in Berlin on vacation. We decided to…read morecome here because of its high ratings on Yelp. We got in just before noon, and we were glad we did because the place got completely full soon after we got seated. The menus were a little confusing as we don't speak any German and the menus had some English pages mixed in with the German pages (the little footnotes were what really confused me, but then I realized that they were using them as markers for different types of allergens). However, it didn't seem that hard to figure out as most of the offerings for brunch offered either cold cuts, cheese, vegetarian spreads, etc. with pastries and such. I opted for their normal sized vegetarian offering (you can ask for a vegan one also) along with coffee and a 20 mL cup of red currant juice. The bf got an order of their scrambled eggs with bacon, along with a 40 mL cup of orange juice. The vegetarian offering I got was amazing. There were a few different slices of cheese, 2 different types of savory spreads (one yogurt based, and the other was some sort of curried spread), and a bunch of fresh fruits. We got a very generous sized basket of bread to share, and it was just a perfect and somewhat light meal. The bf's eggs were delicious, and our juices were fresh and tasy as well. We could easily see why this place was so popular with the locals. Would definitely come back here if I ever happened to find myself in Berlin again.

If you have any semblance of interest in Berlin's brunch scene, you've probably seen photos of…read moreRoamers online. This tiny restaurant in Neukölln is the stuff that hipsters dream of: succulents and other plants galore, rustic decor, food served on wooden slabs instead of plates, long waits, and Instagram-worthy food. I'll admit to snapping a quick pic or two of my food before I dig in, but to my horror, one of the diners actually whipped out his DSLR and had a five-minute photoshoot with his meal before actually eating. So... yeah. You should know what to expect from Roamers before you get here. That being said, some of the obnoxiously hip clientele shouldn't put you off from visiting Roamers because the food is more than pretty good -- if you visit at a strategic time, of course. (Swing by on a weekday morning!) Immediately after walking in, I had the impression that the owner must be enamored with California -- the state flag, a license plate, and the plethora of succulents sort of gave it away. But there was an out-of-place Southwestern vibe that didn't quite jive with this Californian aesthetic. I asked the owner about it before I left and he revealed that he was inspired by Joshua Tree in Southern California. The food reflects this Californian/Wild West/Mexican aesthetic -- kale on kale, jalapeño cheese sandwiches, french toast, avocado toast, huevos rancheros, etc. I had the french toast, which was absolutely impeccable. Roamers really takes it up a notch with their interpretation of this classic breakfast dish: caramelized pear, berries, jam, and greek yogurt! At €8, it was worth every cent. And having complimentary tap water is definitely a plus because it's such a rarity in Berlin!

This was by far the best restaurant I ate at in Berlin. I went twice, once for breakfast and once…read morefor lunch. Immediately upon arriving the coziness of the restaurant is apparent from the outdoor tables, lush plants everywhere, and music coming out of the small restaurant.
