Le Maâ seems so out of place in this city but I'm so happy we found it! With coffee, tea, drinks and healthy lunch menu, this spot has a cool, trendy vibe with super nice staff and high quality items. On my visits, I've had lunch once there. I would suggest the Buddha bowl! A healthy and colorful mix. Lunch menu items are a little pricey ranging from €15-€20. Not the cheapest place but if you want quality food and drink, clean and cozy place to spend time, I'd go here! Also for people with babies, the bathroom has a changing table!!! Enjoy!

And a smile on the owners face. He immediately made a joke and said "this isn't Starbucks, we take our time, what would you like?" While waiting for our cappuccinos, we enjoyed a fresh apple & pear tarte. The produce used in the tarte and all the shop is sourced locally and made fresh. It was delicious... and so was the cappuccino!!! The coffee and tea equipment he has behind the counter is top notch! This place is definitely a true coffee shop. Not to mention, he does brunch on Sundays and lunch daily. Can't wait to come back next week to try lunch!!! :)

The unassuming building in which Au Cheval Blanc is located hides both the beautiful interior, and the gourmet aspirations of the restaurant inside. Because the place is beautiful - old-fashioned without being kitsch at all, with original features highlighted and friendly dark-yellow walls that make it cosy and surprisingly light. The staff are just the same - friendly and welcoming. The food is lovely - I had stuffed and deep fried courgette flowers, followed by Crevette geantes 'facon chef' (giant prawns, served with roasted tomatose and vegetables), and then shared a lime meringue pie with my mum for dessert. All of it lovely and tasty, but a bit oily for me - too much dressing on the salads, too much grease on the deep fried courgette and a bit too much olive oil on my tomatoes. Not enough to spoil them though. And the lime pie was tasty, but not quite what we expected (we were thinking lemon curd, it tasted more like cheesecake). Not that any of that really dampens the experience. And I hope I get a chance to try it again sometime. Sounds like that's entirely possible as well!
