Despite all the really bad reviews, it was convenient for us to eat here, so we took a chance and stopped in for a meal. We soon deeply regretted this decision. We waited and waited to have someone come take our order. The food, when it finally came, ranged from passable to just plain disgusting. There was also a distinct odor of trash in the restaurant, but it's debatable if that smell came from kitchen garbage or from the manager who was just about the rudest, nastiest most ignorant man we've met in 11 years of traveling in Europe. When I went into the bathroom, I was in there less than a minute when suddenly the lights turned off. As a person with a disability, I became frightened and disoriented finding myself in the dark. When I finally made my way out of the bathroom, this manager immediately confronted me and shouted: "What do you think you're doing? Now I have to clean up your sh*t!" First of all, I was not in the bathroom to do that. But even if I were, is there some Swiss law against doing that? Because there certainly wasn't a sign saying not to, so what business was it of his? Secondly we couldn't believe someone would talk to a customer like that! When I said we'll be writing about this experience he mocked me as if he were a little nasty child on a playground. He brought me to tears. I didn't get his name, but he was thin, about 5'6" with receding brown hair and spoke English well. To be fair, there must be something very wrong with this person. But still, this place is to be avoided at all costs. If I were starving and this were the only restaurant open in Geneva, I'd rather eat from a dumpster. It would probably taste better and the management surely couldn't be worse! read more
