I purchased a VW Sharan from Lottbridge Motoring Centre for £4,800. Within days of purchase, the…read morevehicle had to be returned to them due to driveshaft-related issues and clunking noises. Although I was told the fault had been repaired, the same problems continued. Over the following year, several independent garages inspected the vehicle and identified multiple issues affecting the suspension, steering and drivetrain, including components relating to the same areas that had been repaired before I bought the car. I have since had to pay for repairs and have retained the replaced parts. When I raised my concerns with the dealership, they relied heavily on the fact that the vehicle later passed an MOT with no advisories, despite independent mechanics continuing to identify faults. Rather than offering a practical resolution, the matter was referred to solicitors, who ultimately denied liability. My experience has been disappointing. I would have expected a dealer to investigate the concerns thoroughly and work towards a fair resolution, particularly where issues were reported shortly after purchase. Based on my experience, I would advise anyone buying a vehicle from Lottbridge Motoring Centre to have an independent inspection carried out before purchasing and to keep detailed records of any issues that arise.

Overall, my experience partnering with Walton Motors was very positive. From the outset, their team…read morewas knowledgeable and transparent, clearly explaining the entire process from procurement and restoration to international shipping and final delivery. This was especially important given that the Defender was sourced from the UK and delivered to the US. Throughout the restoration, Walton Motors consistently shared detailed photos and videos, providing clear visibility into progress and workmanship. The restoration itself was completed significantly faster than originally anticipated, which was a pleasant surprise. While the shipping phase took longer than expected, the Defender arrived in good condition with only minor cosmetic items identified. Walton Motors has committed to resolving these promptly. Overall, the partnership was smooth and professional, and the final vehicle exceeded my expectations for the price.

I then used the website to configure a car and emailed him with a couple of questions, I didn't get a proper response to my first question so email him directly back and didn't get a response. After a number of weeks I rang the showroom to clarify and was invited to make an appointment to talk through - I attended this 3 days ago. I had an Audi as a company car for the last 7 years but this was a personal purchase for a new car. The Salesman made no attempt to highlight the benefit of Audi or the model I was after and seemed disinterested, even though I stated that I was after a new car. I had every intention of ordering my car during that appointment but when he said the configuration would take some time to go through, I was so disappointed with the whole experience I left without making the purchase. I have more seriously now started to look at a Vauxhall model. Not sure what they get commission on but it doesn't seem to be using and following up on leads.
