Great pizza, delightful salad. My wife and I wandered the town looking for a place that looked hospitable with good pizza. We found the right place. We had the pizza Corsica. Wonderful light crust, confit onions, Creme fraiche and a fried egg. Paired with the nisioche salad, it was a very hearty lunch for two. It is worse if you are an American and don' speak English. Too bad. Nice tiny place where the servers don't know what the word "smile" means. I ordered the special then... They didn't have it. Interesting to note the table next to us got it. They must have not been Americans. read more

Wound up at this restaurant after checking into our hotel after a full day of driving the island. One thing about Ajaccio is that a lot of the restaurants either close early or don't offer dinner. We were searching for a late night place and found that this was one of the few restaurants that was open. And wow what a great meal! As the name suggests, the food is principally pasta and pizza but with a good selection of salads and other fare. Pizza was as excellent as any you'd find in Rome, and the waiter recommended a great Corsican wine. Outstanding desert options as well. The wait staff was extremely friendly - spoke English perfectly (though I like to practice French whenever I can my dining companion was new to French so it was a big help). They told us that they had only been open for ten days when we sat down. Highly recommend it at just about any time of day - whether you're looking for a late night option, or simply just a nice meal at any time of day. We walked past it a week later and they were offering afternoon drinks, and also offer Glacerie (artisinal ice cream - which is popular on the island).
