Caffe Primavera is an Award Winning restaurant serving mainly Mediterenean cuisine as well as Modern Australia. It is the perfect place to go with family. It's always busy, but in a good way. There is always enough staff at hand to take care of you and make sure the food gets to you quickly. Service here is great! When you get seated a waiter will come out and bring out their large framed chalk board with their updated specials. What I love about this place is they have different specials on, so you are always encouraged to try something new and different. The alfresco dining is one of its most alluring features. It is usually quite packed on Saturday mornings with families enjoying hearty breakfasts outdoors. They also serve lunch and dinner and have a large selection of meals to choose from. A favourite of mine is the 'Homemade Ricotta Gnocchi with Short Rib Ragu'... YUM! After your breakfast, lunch or dinner you can sit relax and enjoy a nice mug of 'Mellowcino' or pick from their selection of delicious gelato. Perfect way to end a meal all at one place.

Flat white takeaway coffee was exceptionally good, smooth flavor and good strength. Quick service, standard price.

Over priced for what you get. Extremely disappointing. Ordered the avocado smash and at most a quarter of a avocado was used.

Penny Coffee Co - Avocado on toasted sourdough with marinated feta, spiced chickpeas, pomegranate salsa, sumac labneh, dukkah and lemon. Very, very good.

I've made a few trips to Penny, some just for coffee (takeaway and sit down) and a few with food…read more Across the board, Penny is outstanding in terms of Brisbane's cafe scene. The baristas are exceptionally skilled, and there is a selection of roasts to choose from. While I normally like my coffee black, something that isn't too hard to make, I've had a few flat whites from Penny which have been excellent. A friend of mine asked if they're able to pull a piccolo using soy milk, without the milk splitting. Despite indicating that the barista don't need to try if they haven't made one before, they produced one (after two failed attempts) by slowly adjusting the extraction to the point where they could add a shot to soy milk without producing soy cheese. Doing this despite explicitly not needing to is the sort of above and beyond that earns long-term customers. The food is similarly stellar. The avo on sourdough may at first blush seem like a pricier version of what everyone else is doing. The flavours in Penny's version are, however, inventive and balanced to a point I haven't had elsewhere. There's a nice balance between the feta, dukkah and pomegranate where you can taste all of them without one overpowering the other. The vegetabowl is similarly great. There's just enough of each ingredient that you can taste them, without the dish being overpowered by one note. Penny's interior makes maximal use of the space. There are comfortably sized tables out front and inside, and some bar seating by the espresso machine. The best seats in the house, though, are out back, and include a few longer tables. The staff at Penny are attentive, friendly and great at pulling a coffee and making food.

I took a risk and planned a surprise birthday breakfast at Buzz without having been there before…read more But I needed a place on the West side to accommodate the available timeframe for some of the guests, and the menu on Buzz's website had me at "ricotta pancakes with candied bacon ice cream". I called ahead, and the lovely phone-answerer recommended making a reservation for the weekends, as they do get quite busy. We booked for 8:30 on a Saturday, and while it wasn't overly full when we arrived, a steady crowd did go through in our time there. The space is breezy and open, and our friends were able to wheel their pram up next to the table. The staff were all so kind and helpful. Our server was happy to fill a cup with hot water to warm a bottle, and they really put the mum at ease. There were several other families with children in high chairs, and it's nice to know there's a place I can bring my mum friends. Even though I had spent days looking over the menu, I panicked upon ordering, because there really were so many things I wanted to try. I opted for the build-your-own breakfast plate. I was a little disappointed with the corn fritters I chose, but having lived in the American south, I have really high fritter standards. I did get a nibble of that bacon ice cream, and I know what I'm ordering next time! The portion sizes are quite large, and it really felt like good value for money. We weren't entirely sure where to park, because it is in the ground level of some units, but there is a nearby parking lot for visitor parking with a short sidewalk around to the restaurant. There may be another lot closer, but it looks under construction at the time of this writing.

Besides the beautiful views of the Brisbane river, this gem is nicely contained near the tennis…read morestadium with free parking. I'll admit my first positive remark is the cheeky waitress that gave me a good laugh. Food portions we're excellent at a decent price. Only negative was the selection of lunchtime menu, but for someone that responds "food" when asked what he wants to eat, I'll mark this as a positive from my view. Highly recommended!
