Not really a cafe per se, this place at the top of Borgo Stretto serves excellent local wines, great sandwiches served on focaccia and aperitivo drinks (and coffee of course).
It's a tiny place, and as such they don't really have inside seating, which can be problematic depending on the weather. If the weather is nice however, there is a covered terrace right on the street. It's great for people watching.
Instead of a normal buffet of free aperitivo food, if you arrive after 6pm your drink will be accompanied by a cutting board full of bread, salami, mortedella, cheese and olives.
A very nice gesture on part of the super-friendly owner.
Prices are very, very cheap. A beer, glass of wine or cocktail are all EUR3.
It's a bit hard to find due to the abundance of cafes, bars and shops on the street - look for the red umbrella. read more
