This little spot is right across from the Leaning Tower of Pisa. We suspected that it would be a tourist trap given its location, but since we were hitting road, we wanted to grab a coffee & breakfast anyways. As with most cafes in Italy, you have the option to pay a little bit more to sit down as most tourists were. We opted to belly up to the counter and rub elbows with the locals. It was a weekday, early in the morning & there were quite a few locals grabbing a coffee while standing before heading off to work. Not expecting much, we were quite shocked at how good the cappuccinos were. Honestly they were some of the best we had in Italy. I was really to order five more, but wisely opted against it. We ordered a cheesy pastry & a cannoli (because in when traveling, why not have cannoli for breakfast). The cheesy pastry was forgettable, but the cannoli.... We didn't start eating it until we'd hit the road and I totally regret that. If I could've gone back to get a whole box I would have. They were that good. If you get a chance, pop in for some while you're there! read more
