It WAS a great cafe, but not just a cafe, a community hub. Cafe owners must remember that they are not just selling coffee and food, but they are potentially creating a community hub around which close communities and friendships can be forged. Prices are standard for restaurant/coffee shop. Visited the cafe today during lunch. The service was not too great, the lady serving us was "working" not welcoming. We got the grilled chicken open melt and we also got 'the sourdough with extra'... Haha extra price... that's the only extra thing it had. The meals were a disappointment, on the grilled chicken open melt, the bread was really soggy and it had avocado on it which made it a bit unpleasant. The chicken on the sandwhich was not freshly grilled, it had dried out, making it feel as if they made it a couple of days before and just kept it in a little container and smacked it on the bread. The salad on the side was fantastic though! I would get it by itself. As for the sourdough with extra, it seemed like it would be an extremely scrumptious choice when looking at the menu. Feta, tomato and avocado on sourdough bread! However unfortunately the excitement of this meal did not follow through, when you first received the meal the first thought that hit me is, 'wow they really cheaped out on this feta!' - there was hardly any on there. The inside was just so soggy from the watered down avocado on the piece of lightly toasted bread, it felt almost too disgusting to keep in my mouth. The crust of the toast was what made this meal edible as well as the side salad (lettuce leaves and pine seeds in a balsamic dressing!) Horrible food definitely not worth the cost. read more

A much needed little cafe for the busy marketplace. Excellent service; very attentive, friendly and prompt. Gourmet type breakfasts, mango and passionfruit muffins to die for, and a really nice coffee. It lacks consistency when you order a coffee because sometimes the coffee is not hot enough, or the milk just tastes funny and the cappuccinos can sometimes seem a bit 'flat', but that's just me being persnickety. It has also become completely over run my mums and bubs mid week, so really not the place for a quite coffee. But definitely a place to catch up with friends or meet for a coffee, and overall a friendly atmosphere and (mostly) a good coffee. read more

This is a good place to eat and I enjoy takeaway coffee while I shop. I love that they use ecoffee card app so you get a free coffee when you have bought 9 coffees. I like there food but I think they are expanding the menu too much as I feel there food is good but not fantastic . I think if there menu was smaller they good do every thing fantastic not just good. read more

Great local cafe - where top quality CBD coffee - food and service is out in the suburbs. I don't feel I'm missing out on the inner city cafe when I've got Vostro!! Just love brunch at this place, it's definitely a great hub for friends. read more

Great neighbourhood café in Menai Marketplace. Very busy at lunchtime and obviously a popular local spot. The café opens out onto the covered walkway and you can choose to sit inside or out. The menu comprises all day breakfasts, gourmet sandwiches, salads and burgers. Chickpea and lentil burger with beer battered chips made for a satisfying and filling lunch. Great place for a weekend brunch. read more

I came here for dinner. I have eaten here before when it was just a cafe and found it really good, food and coffee was excellent. For dinner, they still have a long way to go. Came for a birthday part and we had a table of 9. They have a lot of Sicilian wine on the wine list, I asked the waiter about what the blends are like and he had no idea, he proceeded to ask one of the other staff members and he also had no Idea. So I order a Tasmanian wine... Ordered the warm black olives and Sicilian green olives to start with and I don't know what is going on with the black olives, they looked like sultana's and had a strange texture. We asked the waiter when these and some bread for the table was ordered that we wanted to order straight away. We got ignored some what with this request. Then when the waitress (I believe she might be the floor manager) came and took our entree orders she took some main orders, then when I tried to order an entree she said she had to redo the main orders as their system only allows the entrees to be ordered first, then the mains can be ordered. Once ordered it took forever for the entrees to come out, nice Italian cuisine / Sicilian and well priced, but nothing special. Ok they are pretty busy, the restaurant is full (60 people) but if you can't handle a full restaurant, then reduce the amount of tables you have. Took about two hours for mains. For a restaurant that only has pizza and pasta, they got one right, the pizza was good.... Pasta left much to the imagination. Music is good and the new renovation is really good. All I can say is...
