With his extensive experience in Europe and in Asia, travels around the world, and of course, him being from Italy -I might be biased here, but really, one of the best places for a gastronomic adventure; he can definitely rise to the occasion. Cucina offers international flavors that appeal to the local palate. The dishes weren't tweaked to the flavors that we're used to but were handpicked according to the ones that everyone would certainly like and find more than interesting. On weekdays, you'll get to indulge on Chef's Beet Cured Salmon with Crème Fraiche, Ossobucco ala Milanese with Soft Yellow Polenta, and Beef Cheek Couscous and Grilled Vegetable. While their Italian Porchetta Stuffed with Sun Dry Tomato and Black Olive Pate, Baked Salted Fish with Chef Giuseppe's Special Sauce, and Wild Mushroom Risotto are what await the hungry weekend warriors. The crowd favorite for the night would have to be the Beef Cheek Couscous, but my heart goes to the Italian Porchetta that I still can't get over.

It's good value for money and well worth the spend for an occasion. Sometimes, they have foie gras as a part of the selection, but I've only seen that happen once. I wish their Filipino station looked more appetizing. Sadly, the dishes appeared dry, like they had been sitting there a while, overlooked by the diners who preferred the pasta, seafood choices, and carving station. I must have had two plates of lobsters when I was last there on a Sunday night, though! I really enjoyed that, plus the service of the accommodating wait staff on duty.

But the food is still the food. So on to that: - Beef Tapa: My favourite dish of the meal. Beef was tender, thinly sliced, with that perfect tangy-sweet flavour balance. - Sardine and Sundried Tomato Pasta: Strong flavours that perfectly matched. Generous amount of sardines and studied tomatoes went well with the al dente pasta. A wonderfully done pasta by a place I associate with breakfast food. - Crispy Plain Waffles: Pretty tasty on its own (which is a good sign), though a bit too crispy and chewy for me. - Pancakes: Soft and pillowy. Definitely preferred these to the waffles. - Spinach, Mushroom and Cheese Omelette: The omelette was melt-in-your-mouth fluffy. Unfortunately it was also a bit bland. Good amount of cheese but would have liked more mushrooms and spinach. - Hazelnut Coffee: Strong hazelnut taste. Appreciated that it wasn't watered down. Service was attentive and efficient. Prices are fairly reasonable. And again, that beautiful space to laze the mornings away. A delightful spot overall.

The dishes were shared equally among five people, and even then we had some for leftovers. We had chicharron bulaklak for our appetizer and it taste similar to the ones you'd find on the street, but made from cleaner ingredients. Our main entrees consisted of kare kare ( beef stew with peanut sauce), sisig (a skillet of pork and chicken), crispy pata (deep fried pig parts) and Filipino paella. The Filipino paella was absolutely delightful and it was enjoyed by everyone in my group. They made it Filipino style by adding tocino. The rice was also seasoned Filipino style and toasted to the perfect crunchiness. I highly recommend this dish. The other dishes were decent, but not as good as I expected. The kare kare seemed to lack too much of the peanut butter taste, which is needed to characterize the kare kare taste. The sisig was also lacking flavor, which I think stems from the meat used. Maybe it was a healthier version? The crispy pata was great and crispy! But the accompanying sauce needed more taste and kick to perfect the crispy pata. On the other side, their shakes were wonderful. We ordered all types of shakes and not only did they look beautiful, they tasted divine. For example, the mango and cheese shake is a weird combination, but they made it blend in the creamiest way. The shakes here are something that can be rarely found elsewhere! So for those on a budget but crave a bit of elegance, stop by here. It is also not as crowded as other malls yet since Vertis is so new!

They are better with Lechon Kawali Chips. For dessert, the Iday was very good. However, it's served skewered in a glass drinking cup. The suman was too hard to get out from the cup. I have to come back here on my next visit to try more dishes. Note: I put my bag on the floor next to one of the tall air conditioners inside. It got wet. The AC leaked water. It was a bit annoying. Staff wasn't very apologetic about it. They said they would 'look into it.'

I just really had to taste the food and see what the hype is all about. As we enter the place, we saw an awe-inspiring ambience. A beautiful marriage of mostly antique designs and the luxuries of intimate setting. Sitting in any table will give you that casual vibe with a rustic sense of feel and comfort. We had a warm welcoming followed by excellent service. I'd say they put a lot of attention to details and flavor to please you and your cravings.. Dining at this unique restaurant, I was given a test of my appetite's limits. It's because every platter of food is sooo good, I'm almost not willing to leave anything on the table as the meal winds down. The menu offers a wide variety of mouth watering starters. We tried the spinach artichoke dip. The flatbread is exceptional when dunked into that oh-so-lusciously creamy sauce filled with spinach and artichoke that my tongue couldn't resist. We were then served with fish and garlic rice inside the wrapper that's deep fried until its magnificently crunchy which the Filipino menu calls "Tinapa Burrito" and its definitely a favorite! We also had the Filipino Breakfast Platter for main course which consisted of tocino, eggs, garlic rice, tapa and that palatable dilis. The breakfast platter was exquisite. Then we had the Kofta Balls. These savory and beautiful mediterranean meat balls with a very well seasoned curry sauce was a hearty flavorful meal. It's a must try! The Spanish Callos, was very tender and deliciously well prepped meal which really thrilled us. I would say all the food were fresh and had the warmth of legit home-made food. They definitely took great care in selecting the best quality ingredients. Then comes the sweets... we had the Crispy Waffle Churros and Brownie Waffle A' la mode. A flavor-bomb by itself you dont need to add any other sauce. Both are crunchy on the outside yet very nice, soft, and delicious on the inside. And so is the French Toast tower. Just ahhhh-mazingly good food! The pancake is insanely fluffy and moist. It was cooked to perfection. This restaurant is exceptional. There's something for everyone. We had very pleasant dining experience with food of the most mouth watering delectable flavors. I highly recommend going to Rustic Mornings. Its definitely worth a travel from the east coast and I really would love go back to Philippines for this.

From breakfast to brunch to the now added dinner menu due to high demand, I suggest you call in advance for reservations as place was already packed by the time we got there at 8am. Plenty of free parking at the back. The ambience, the food, the artistic designs makes Rustic Morning a MUST TRY on your list! 2 thumbs up, way up, 5 stars! 1 Michelin star
