Like vegetables, I'm also not the biggest fan of churches. I've possibly only stepped foot in one less than ten times in my life, despite the fact my uncle is a vicar. It's quite strange really; my dad's quite the atheist, but his brother (my uncle, obviously) is the total opposite.
Thankfully, Café Verde is not a church but is situated in an old church house. It offers all its customers a comfortable dining atmosphere (that's right, comfort in a church) whilst they enjoy a range of hot and cold refreshments.
The menu there features the usual snacks you'd expect from small local cafes like this, such as sandwiches, panninis and bagels as well as a small selection of daily specials and hot meals like homemade soup and quiche.
Their desserts are also particularly delicious, with their sweet homemade apple crumble being well worth the money. Their prices are very reasonable too, meaning you can get lovely home cooking for a very small price. read more
