Instead of the usual sloppy curry which always tastes the same whatever you choose this tastes so fresh and clean. The menu is extensive and includes signature, authentic & classic dishes. If you would like a dish which is not on the menu they are happy to make it for you. The restaurant is fully licensed. The prices i think are a bit above average but it really is worth it. The portions are generous and it's evident that the ingredients are of the highest quality and the chefs are indeed very skilled. Another plus is that the Dilraj are always willing to accommodate requests that aren't on the menu - nothing seems too much trouble. There are half portions available for children (or sometimes pensioners) there are lower-fat healthy options for those watching their weight (although I don't have first hand experience in this!) and there's the 'Apna' option for connoisseur diners who realise a lot of eastern cuisine is tailored for the western market and who want to try a style of cooking that's a lot more in keeping to 'home'. Our family have been far and wide to many different eating establishments and we all agreed ages ago to stop looking for anything better because there isn't! If finances allowed, we'd spend a lot more time here for sure. I recommend it to everyone whole heartedly.

Poppadoms and Cobra beer got our taste buds excited, and we weren't disappointed when my stock favourite, onion bhajee, arrived. Freshly cooked with a crisp salad, it was first class, and then we moved onto the mains. Lamb tikka, chicken jalfrezi , pilau raice saag bhajee and paratha all pleased. The decorations and furnishing in Sheraz are in a style that was contemporary in about 1980, but it's clean and inviting and we'll be going again. £37.50 for the food including three pints of Cobra.
