Cardinal rule #1 when you're in the catering business is not to run out of food and that is what…read morehappened at our wedding in April 2016. We had gone back and forth with Fritz about changing our vegetable to asparagus which they informed us would be an up-charge. No problem, we signed up. The day of the wedding, they only had enough asparagus for about half of our guests so they were left with no green/color on their plate. Fritz offered to pay us back for the 75 guests that did not get asparagus, but in my opinion they should pay us back for the whole up-charge fee. Running out of food should never happen. Also, we paid to have them take care of the bar at our wedding. At one point, I walked over to discover they had run out of ice and someone was having to go get more. Again...shouldn't happen. The pros are that the staff that was at the wedding were very nice, but I would probably go with another company if I had to do it all again. The food is such an important part of the wedding and there's no reason to be running out of anything.

After driving around forever on a Saturday(every dang restaurant was closed on a weekend in…read morePearsall, Tx!!!!), we found this bbq place. Again our rule is , if it's empty on a weekend, think twice. We were starving, and had driven back from Laredo and didn't want to keep driving. First, the staff was amazing! I have to start with at least one positive. Which I hate to say, is wish I judged in only service. This was one of driest briskets I've had in a looonnnng time. I mean I had to take a drink after every bite or douse it in sauce. Man I wanted to like this place soooo much... the Sausage tastes almost 99% like the one from bill millers, which is not necessarily a good thing. It also was not spicy at all. The beans....all I tasted was black pepper. That's it. Nothing else. My order wasn't completely a waste, as the turkey I I order was right up there with some of the best I've ever had. It was perfectly seasoned and way juicer than the brisket. Go figure! My son on the other hand, over his grilled cheese brisket sandwich. I took a bite and agree it wasn't bad. The rice was good, he got it as a side. Seems we've had bad luck lately with brisket. To my cousins in Florida, not ALL Texas's bbq is great.

My husband and I initially wanted another well-known BBQ Asian fusion restaurant to cater our…read morewedding and were pretty set on it. But after our guest list grew, we had to move locations and our venue was no longer within their catering vicinity. I searched high and low for different vendors that fit the fusion that we wanted, but couldn't find anything that fit just right (or that didn't break the bank). Then I somehow stumbled across Rebel Catering on Google. They had a wide variety of packages for food varying from Asian, to bbq, to Mexican. They didn't have a ton of reviews, and it seemed like they mostly did corporate events, but I gave them a call. I'll be honest, I was a bit apprehensive of how incredibly chill Rahul is at first (because I was already stressed out), but when I told him about our vision, he immediately checked with his chefs and created an incredible menu for us. My mom and mother in law's primary request was copycats of the other restaurant's corn fritters, and he even delivered on that. I'll attach a picture of the menu, but our minds were blown at the quality and freshness of the food. Buffet style brisket is HARD and he and his team crushed it. I even had friends with allergies and he accommodated them without question. The most popular part of the night though was the shaved ice. Part of Rebel Catering is their shaved ice package with alcoholic shaved ice (TABC bartender included). They had custom flavors to match our Asian fusion theme, and even brought their truck in to serve our guests! They also created a custom flavor named after our cat and created a sign with a cute cartoon of him. They also had tons of other drinks including sodas, jelly drinks, boba drinks, and energy drinks. TLDR: HIRE REBEL CATERING. Your guests will love you forever.
