Overpriced and under serviced! We used to frequent this charming little cafe but we will not be coming back. It's sadly lost its charm. It's now overpriced and under serviced. We waited nearly 2 hours today for our food and the attitude of the staff, especially the manager, was just unacceptable. We had to serve ourselves to water and there was NO apology for the delay in serving the food. Even the coffees and the drinks took over 30 mins. We appreciate it was Mother's Day and more busy than usual, but if you're going to cater for large gatherings and special occasions, and book to capacity, then make sure you have the staff and capability to adequately service your customers. I will no longer be recommending this cafe to anyone I know! Very disappointing!!!
The owner recently responded to the above review on Facebook and this is what they said:
Cafe on Cusack: "I'm sorry AGAIN that you feel that way , we had amazing feedback from all other customers today so I'm disappointed you felt the need to highlight AGAIN your experience. I'm not the manager, I'm the owner and we are a family run business that strives at all times to keep all our customers happy and satisfied but sometimes it is an impossible goal. I disagree very strongly with your statement that we are over priced maybe we are if you are comparing us to McDonald's!!"
What happened to good old fashion Customer Service!? I strive to support independent and local business whenever I can, especially those in rural and more remote areas. It's just a shame these business owners have no idea on how to treat their customers - especially those that were loyal and frequent customers. I hope the owners learn from this and take a good look at their customer values. I only hope for their sake their service levels improve, otherwise there business will suffer greatly! read more
