Food is decent, fairly pricey for what it is but not hugely more than what you pay at many cafés. The eggs Benedict is reasonable. Eggs poached ok though often a pale small yolk (not sure where they source them, I don't think they are free range), served on an English muffin with some very tasty ham. The hollandaise sauce is thick and creamy but tastes fairly generic. I have had the full breakfast twice and it was quite different in volume and quality each time. Generally a good basic breakfast with all the bits and pieces and cooked just fine. Nothing special though and at $19 not the best deal either. I would say that the cabinet food does look pretty good so there is plenty more for me to try out! Despite the only average to good food, I would still recommend this cafe. Decent/good coffee, decent food and pleasant atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

I ordered Fusion Fish & Chips (35 NZD; sake marinated battered fish, aurora sauce, and fries) and the S.O. a Chicken Burger (30 NZD; marinated fried chicken, nagoya sauce, mayo, tomato, slaw, and fries). We missed that the chicken burger was fried though somehow this came out a tad cold which tells me this was reheated. My Fish and Chips, on the other hand, came out piping hot. The batter was a little thicker on these bad boys (hence the fusion to English style fish and chips?) and the sauce more a tomato based creamy sauce than tarter sauce. I was ravenous so this was consumed in earnest. This came with a refreshing side of shredded cabbage, the aurora sauce serving as a good dressing for this.
