We are celebrated our mother's Birthday at Cafe light. I want to say a BIG thank you for such a warm atmosphere, wonderful staff, delicious food, cozy room. Dishes surprise with excellent presentation and taste. Svetlana and your entire team, thank you, we have never tasted anything tastier in restaurants in 13 years in America. You are amazing. Highly recommend this place.

The northeast is notorious for Uzbek cuisine. It's also a go to for our big family dinners when we visit them up this way. But does the NE need yet another BYOB restaurant like this? Yes!! This was absolutely delicious! Located in a strip mall on Bustleton Avenue is this gem of a place. It's small, not fancy at all, but very tasty. I felt like we were in Grandma's kitchen. The kind, older woman barely spoke English which wasn't an issue, took our order, then prepared our food fresh in the back, one dish at a time. It was a very leisurely meal. Our table of four indulged in: Pickled veggies. Very good! Very crisp and not overbearing with a vinegar taste. Just right. The mushroom soup: huge bowl! Creamy and garnished heavily with parsley which I didn't mind, but hubs would've. If green sprinkled around isn't your thing, ask for it without. They're very big on garnish here. Delicious and filled with chunky mushrooms. More mushrooms than any other place in the area. Also a creamy consistency which is different up here as well. Warm salad with balsamic: Soooo good! So good. I loved the combo of the hot veggies over the cool lettuce. I asked for the slivered almonds and goat cheese on the side and I felt the salad didn't miss it. The balsamic was just the right amount. Yum! Potatoes with shiitake: This is a common dish for this cuisine and it was done so very right here. Perfectly crisp and hot, not too oily and seasoned to perfection. A few chunky mushrooms atop. Definitely split an order of these!! I would come back here again for sure and suggested my parents who live in the area do so immediately. Happy to have another Uzbek spot to add to our rotation. -1 star for lack of ambiance BYOB.

This place is another i must return location. My wife and I are known for been foodies junkies, is hard to pass on other cultures traditions and today we tried this Uzbek restaurant. Let me start with the ambience, is a very quiet restaurant that for a romantic/family dinner is totally worthy. This is what we call a mom/pops restaurant, they don't have a big staff, maybe we counted 3 people but their passion for customer service to make you feel very welcome is very present. The food: YOU MUST TRY THE MUSHROOM SOUP! There it is just in case you needed big letters. The soup in my experience in restaurants it has been the best mushroom soup we have ever tried. I had the fish platter (i suck, i forgot to write the name of it) it was everything I was hoping for. I told my wife the fish platter took me to a good Holy Friday meal because it took me to my childhood when my parents cooked fish on that particular day. My wife had the Lamb Leg, in her opinion the plate it was just another plate that doesn't day much and doesn't stand out but it was tasty. Dessert: we had the traditional Napoleon with Coffee, this dessert was everything we were hoping for to close out a good night. I recommend it with a cup of coffee. It is very delicious.

Creamy Pumpkin soup with pumpkin seeds in a bread bowl!

Driving down good old Bustleton ave, we noticed a new place in a old shopping center. When we came in , a kind lady welcomed us. It was only after we ate our 2nd course we realized that they had closed 30mins ago and rather than tel us they happily served us dinner anyway. And what a dinner it was! We each had soup, one creamy pumpkin and one mushroom, each served is a freshly baked bread bowl. we then shared a "hot salad" which consisted of zucchini, tomatoes and peppers with balsamic and sweet goat cheese and finally a whole Bronzino fish with rice and yummy veggies. I don't know what I liked the most , everything was full of flavor and prepared with love. We honestly felt like we were guests in someones home. Looking forward to coming back!

Cute little Cafe with Asian focused menu and drinks. I love the atmosphere here: relaxed, very…read morespacious and lots of art work on the walls both for sale and for decoration. The menu is sweets and drinks but nothing ordinary! I had a hot Korean tea (Yuzu) it was sooo delicious on a rainy day! The server was very nice and offered more hot water for the tea as I drank it down which was a nice touch. I also saw staff cleaning through my time there! One thing to note is you do have to make a purchase to sit in! Worth it though!

Check your receipt carefully (NEGATIVE STARS!!!)…read more I was very disappointed with my experience at this café. After paying, I noticed that the prices charged on my receipt did not match the prices displayed on the menu board (I was charged little bit more on EVERY ITEMS). When I asked the employee about the difference, the employee acknowledged that the menu board prices were outdated. Since there was no notice before ordering that the actual prices would be different, I expressed my concern that customers should not be charged a different price without being informed in advance. My concern was not about a small dollar difference, but about transparency and being charged a different price than what was displayed. After I returned to my table, the owner came over to discuss the issue (SHE WAS SO UPSET!!) Instead of simply acknowledging the discrepancy or explaining it professionally, the owner became defensive and confrontational. The owner focused on why I brought the issue up with the employee rather than addressing my actual concern. The owner also said, "Report it if you want," which felt dismissive and disrespectful. A customer raising a reasonable question about pricing should be met with a professional explanation, not an argument. She even said why i argued with few dollars..I was like what do you mean?!? You don't see the concern here?!? More importantly, she didn't even try to hear what I said..she kept talking over me. Because of the owner's attitude, I no longer felt comfortable staying and requested a refund. While walking to the POS counter for the refund, the owner continued making disrespectful comments that I could hear (I was like....WHAT?!???) The issue was not about a few dollars. Mistakes can happen, but how a business responds to a customer's concern matters. A simple apology and respectful explanation would have made a big difference.

Ordered: - Mango Milk Coconut Matcha (July 2026 Special) - Housemade mango syrup, your choice of milk, matcha, coconut cold foam (only iced) - Well balance. I was worried the coconut might overpower the matcha but it didn't. According to their website it looks like their matcha is from Junbi. Visited a couple of times while I was living in Philly, from what I remember their banh mi were also pretty good. Pretty good place to study/work as well, they have two large table, a handful of small tables, and a bar section. On my recent visit in July 2026 it looks like they limit their wifi to 2 hours on the weekends and 4 hours on weekdays (sad to see since I don't remember this being a thing a couple years ago, but makes sense because they seem to be a lot busier now).
