The dishes were a little more spicy than the spice levels we requested but they had great flavor, so maybe order down one spice level than usual. The naan has a beautifully soft texture and is very fresh. Our server was helpful and attentive. The place has a comfortable feel to it but the lighting was a bit too blue/cool. Portions were reasonable for the price. Would come back to try other dishes on the menu.

I met the owner Rutiv who is very friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming at Taste of Elmwood Park (which by the way is a great way to preview foods from local restaurants) when I tried their Philly steak sandwich, we had it again today. The sandwich was delicious, I would have liked the bread toasted to a crunchy element but was still a good sandwich. For an appetizer we had Samosa (similar to an empanada in concept) this was filled with peas and potatoes which were seasoned nicely and when accompanied with the turmeric sauce was awesome. The turmeric sauce added spice and a new level of flavor. We also tried the marsala fries, they were regular crinkle, cut fries, but with a special flavor of marsala; also very tasty. I ordered the Goat Curry marinated goat cooked in a homemade cashew gravy. I also ordered garlic naan which was phenomenal; the goat was season well and very tender, it also came with Jeera which is a light rice that you can literally sprinkleon the curry instead of being clumpy like regular white rice. Using the naan as a vessel to eat, the dish, took it to a whole new level. Glenda tried the mango lassi, which is basically a shake made with mango, ice cream, and shaved almonds on top. That drink was cool and refreshing. We will definitely return to this restaurant, there are a few more things that I would like to try. I give this restaurant 5 stars, Ciao Ciao for now. please give it a try and let me know your opinion.

Our party of four happened to visit during their 1-year Anniversary celebration. Their outdoor patio was bumpin' with a live DJ as we were savoring pitchers of their award-winning beer - Maizal (Mexican style lager) and Pinata (hazy pineapple IPA). They were not serving the regular food menu that day, but thanks to their cool-looking "train engine" grill they were serving tasty carne asada platters. The staff was very outgoing throughout our visit and should be proud of the cerveceria.

All of the beer on the flight was tasty. My fave was the pinata that had pinneapple in it. For food, I went with the chicken quesadilla dinner. The chicken was only ok, but overall the food was super tasty. The rice and beans were very flavorful. The beans were more of a pinto bean soup. Parking is a little strange. A couple of spots in front, more across the street. They turned their parking lot into a patio. However, very close to public transit.

We recently tried 93 Octane and had a pretty good experience overall…read more For appetizers, we had the burnt ends, onion rings, and cheese curds. The onion rings were huge, crispy, and very tasty. The burnt ends were also good and came served over a bed of French fries, making for a hearty appetizer. The cheese curds were just okay and didn't really stand out. For dinner, I had the steak, which was just okay and didn't really impress me. We also tried the cheesesteak with jalapeños. It had good flavor, but was a little dry. The burger was good overall, although it was a bit on the salty side. The craft beers were good and definitely added to the experience. Service was also good, although the restaurant seemed particularly busy, possibly because of a large party upstairs. Overall, 93 Octane is a decent spot with some good food and drinks. The onion rings and burnt ends were probably the highlights for me, while some of the main dishes were just average.

Fine, I guess. The…read morebest thing I ate there was the 93 Bourbon BBQ Burger ($19.99) - described a 1/2lb Local Farm Raised Wagyu Beef Topped With House Made Single Barrel Bourbon BBQ, Cheddar Cheese, Candied Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, and Red Onion on a Brioche Bun. It's a good burger. Nothing remarkable, but it did the trick. The fries were good. Avoid the pretzel bites. $13.99 for burned and flavorless chunks. A total disaster. Similarly, skip the Pit Stop Potatoes ($13.99). The potatoes have no seasoning and the melted cheese immediately falls off when you touch it with a fork. Just a greasy mistake. I may give 93 Octane another shot, but I'd need a lunch special or something to bring the price more in line with the quality.

A short fuse and a close call…read more After Emily and I checked in to our hotel room, we wanted to stretch our legs and see if there was anything nearby for some beer and some food. Turns out, Short Fuse was right up the road and a 5 minute walk got us there. For a Sunday, it wasn't too busy but not dead, so we got seated right away. We ordered some beer and took a look at the menu. While nothing really struck our fancy, our waitress made a comment that if we did want any food, it might be slim pickings as they were running out of stuff. Turns out, this day was the last day they were open. Talk about timing! After she mentioned that, I started to notice that people were buying bar signs and various other things. Emily started off with a Guava Gose and I grabbed a Krankshaft kolsch. We sampled each other beers and we both really liked what the other ordered. I don't really know what a gose is but, damn, was that good! I've had Krankshaft before so I knew what I was getting myself in to. We ended up ordering a second round of the same beers and let each other sample the other's beer a little more liberally this time. While we were kind of hungry, nothing on the menu really struck our fancy, especially considering they might've been out of it. Room service took care of those hunger pangs later after a few more beers in the hotel bar. Online reviews for this place seemed hit and miss but I really enjoyed my time there and really enjoyed the artwork on the walls and the vibe of the place. We did contemplate buying some bar signs on our way out but declined as we don't know what we would exactly do with them. So I have never gone in despite waking past at least once a week. Yesterday, someone invited me for a beer at Poor Phil's, which was closed at the time, so they changed the location to The Beer Shop, not realizing my dog issue. I was feeling brave, so I went in! Thankfully, no allergic reaction. There was only one small dog there while I was there, about 30 minutes, and the dog only walked by once, while leashed. A few tables with kids playing board games. A few folks at the bar. I really dug the vibe, and if it was pet-free, I'd totally come here more often! The bartender was super duper friendly, really cool. I got a cider on tap, and there were non-alcohol options as well, even saw a canned Diet Coke- my favorite!! I realize I'm not their ideal customer, with my dog challenges.
