Had a quick dinner here before catching the train leaving Killarney. Situated at Plaza Hotel, the place had delicate interior decor and lighting. The bar also had some nice alcohol and spirits. Calamari: very juicy and enormous calamri coated with crispy pastry and nice seasoning. Probably some of the "largest" calamari I've seen. Chicken wings: some would call them authentic Buffalo spicy, I was just not a fan of the flavor profile myself. But the texture was quite juicy. Fish and chips: piping hot with crispy dough. The fish itself is slightly mushy though. Chips were standard. Overall, the food could use a bit of uplifting, but the dining environment was quite nice, and the staff was friendly. read more

Situated at the base of the Plaza Hotel in the city center of Killarney, Cafe Du Parc was a treat for us on our last morning in the city. We got a recommendation for Cafe Du Parc at dinner on the previous night, so we mapped it out and made our way for breakfast and coffee on a weekday morning. Given the day and time, they were not busy, so we were sat very quickly. The restaurant is one large space, but divided into two distinct areas. The breakfast/cafe and then the bar/restaurant. Same spot, different vibes. We sat at a table in the cafe area which features a few standard tables, a lounge seating area and a coffee/pastry bar. We ordered a combination of breakfast items from scrambled eggs to sausage rolls and an iced mocha. The eggs were good, very soft and fluffy, but a bit under seasoned, but that honestly was a trend in Ireland. The sausage roll was the best part for me! It was flavored and the house made remoulade/salsa was great! The iced mocha was a bit odd with the heavy dusting of chocolate powder on top, which made it a bit cakey when mixed in. It was tasty, but not what I expected. Service was stellar from entry to exit. The hostess was also our server and she was fantastic! The space was well kept and very clean. Overall, this was a great parting meal for us as we left Killarney! read more

This casual restaurant attached to the Plaza Hotel and Spa seemed like a convenient spot to grab dinner without having reservations. Finding authentically spicy wings in Ireland had been a challenge up to this point but the "Louisiana Hot Sauce" wings here actually had a kick. The Margherita pizza I tried, however, was really just plain red sauce, cheese, and two halved cherry tomatoes on a cracker-like crust. My friend ordered the chickpea and cauliflower burger and really enjoyed it, even if it was a bit tricky to handle thanks to its generous size. read more

Lovely dining at Cafe Du Parc when visiting Killarney. It's a modern restaurant with beautiful decorations. First time adding baked goat cheese onto salad and it was a real game changer. The patatas bravas were delicious although European sour cream tasted more like American cream cheese. read more

My friends and I stopped here for a late lunch/early dinner and it was pretty pleasant! We had a fairly large group of 9 people and they accommodated us quickly. They had some really cute and quirky drinks on the menu that came in fun glasses. A couple people in my group got them and they were definitely picture worthy. They also had some specials for Wimbledon that was going on at the time we were here. The atmosphere of this place was cool. Darker lighting and feels pretty classy! We all ordered food, I opted for a lighter meal of calamari from the appetizers menu. This was good! I had never had calamari like this before. I think the breading could have used some more seasoning but I still thought this dish was enjoyable. Everyone else in my group seemed to enjoy their meal. read more

The best breakfast we had since being in Ireland.. we're not much for hotel breakfast buffets but since we're with a tour group we were kind of forced to eat at the hotel but we skipped out one morning and man it was worth it. My eggs Benedict with ham and my wife's French toast were on point.. our waitress was so nice and eager to help us with the menu. It was quiet the morning we ate here and it just made it that much better as we enjoyed our food in relative silence. It's a shame we're not locals because we'd be here weekly. Highly recommended for anyone visit or local to be honest. I'm sure you can't miss. read more

Came in for Saturday brunch. Made a reservation the night before and got right in and seated as a party of 5. The service was great, friendly and efficient. All the food was amazing, couldn't ask for better and that includes our morning drinks, to include a milkshake. Highly recommend, we'll definitely be back if we find ourselves back in this area of Ireland! read more

They were able to seat a party of 7 (4 adults, 3 kids) without a reservation. The server was very helpful with recommendations. My husband got the North Indian chicken curry and said it tasted like home cooked freshly made curry (his family is from New Delhi). He was very pleasantly surprised. Very nice place with reasonable and good quality menu. Was bear our hotel and another large number of restaurants. You pick, you find out!

This was a lovely spot for breakfast on the patio. I had a decaf carmel latte and the avocado toast with egg. Both were delicious and the presentation was beautiful. My server was very sweet, and when I asked for a glass of water, she brought me a large one with ice, a rare treat in Europe! My only reason for a four star rating instead of five is that it is a bit noisy on the corner with traffic, including busses, constantly driving by. Still, I would recommend this spot without hesitation. read more

There were 3 of us in our group and we stopped for a quick bite and a coffee. The food was cooked well and presented nicely, we had 3 portions of wings and fries. Coffee wasn't bad either, not the strongest or the best, but very good all the same. Staff wise, they were friendly when they did arrive, twice we had to get up and remind them to take our order and to give us a dessert menu. They were quite confused as well as it was busy. They actually miscalculated our bill as a result, it seemed like our original waitress had clocked out for the evening, so clearly a better quality of staff training is needed, better English speakers are needed too as one girl had no idea what the hell we were talking about. Overall I'd score this place 6/10, the food was excellent but the staff and process of ordering and having to get up for menus was a pain in the ass, sadly it's something Killarney does well, mediocrity. If you are going to charge what you do, please make sure your service compliments your menu. read more
