This little gem of a cafe is luckily located next to our hotel and with our room comes a complimentary breakfast here so I ventured out to enjoy my first breakfast in Buenos Aires.
I sat down at a table and was greeted by the waiter. I explained that I am staying next door and he handed me a limited menu. I chose Option 1- 2croissants, toast, Hanoi and cheese, café con leche and fresh squeezed orange juice. The order arrived very quickly. Café was good, orange juice was freshly squeezed and tasted amazing, the croissants (medialunas) were the sweet kind and very good. I noticed my waiter did not check on me too much and I had to place a togo order with the hostess. She also brought over my packaged Togo order. It wasn't until I got up from the table to leave and I placed a tip on the table that I finally saw my waiter again-gave me the impression that he really didn't want to bother with a guest from the hotel since the breakfast was included in my stay and maybe he thought I would not leave a tip? I am not the type to not tip so as i places my tip on the table, his smug attitude quickly changed. The food was very good but his service was the reason I only gave it 3 stars. read more
