Recently, I was working out at Nundah and every day some colleague or another would come into the lunch room with a delicious-looking toasted sandwich or BLT. Tired of my boring salads, I found out where they were getting their food from: Cafe Cadogan.
Tucked inside the Cadogan House Medical Centre, you wouldn't know it's there unless someone told you. The set-up isn't particularly glamorous--it kind of looks like a hospital cafe--but a nice leafy courtyard makes up for the slightly clinical interior. The menu is quite small, but everything on it is so cheap! If I remember rightly, a BLT on a generous sized bun with lots of bacon and barbecue sauce cost no more than $5.
Operating only on weekdays, Cafe Cadogan is a great place for a cheap workday lunch. It's not fancy, nor gourmet, but the women who work there are friendly and the food is tasty and filling. read more
