I stopped in for an iced coffee and a bagel with Nutella. I found out that they serve their bagels with toppings sandwich style, so if you prefer to have it open faced, I suggest you let them know. I went for the whole wheat bagel toasted with Nutella and I added sliced bananas for an extra charge but not much. The bagel and the spread was only $3 and I don't know how much the bananas cost but not much because everything together cost a little under $7. The bagel had a great toast on it, just like I like it. It was a good quality bagel and the combination of the Nutella and bananas were great. The iced coffee was good, but I think that's an area they need to work on. It was rather strong, but as in a good strong coffee, but more like harsh, so I had to add some cream to it to mellow it out. The lady and gentleman working when I came in were very nice. This is my second time at Cafe Bella, staff is really friendly and upbeat. Unfortunately, every time I have ordered an acai bowl, it's pretty much liquified. The flavor and the fruit are fresh, but the açaí is melted, it's like scooping fruit with açaí syrup. read more

First time experience. It's been few days thinking about trying this place. I asked for bagel with ham and coffee. When I came home and took the bagel sandwich out, I just saw 2 slices of ham, tomato, bunch of spinach and cream cheese between tow slices of cold bagels. Could you please at least ask customer if they needed toasted or not? I don't understand how spinach ended up with bagel. On Tod everything, the simple dark coffee was cold as of was leftover from morning batch. I really expected something at least average. 1 star for location and 1 for a cashier. read more

Great service, clean environment. I come here often, the drinks are good. I enjoy the smoothies and açaí bowls the best. There are gluten free options. My usual is the oatmeal bowl with fruit and pb. They also have gluten free pastries and other food items. I do not recommend the gluten free bagels! (UPDATE: the plain GF bagels are delicious!) Cafe Bella is the number one smoothie spot in SD. I went today and the owner took my order and his service was amazing. He was so patient and understanding when taking my order. I've been coming here for a long time now ever since they opened and not one time have they messed up my order nor have my smoothies tasted different or off. This place is consistently amazing. Sadly Cafe Bella has joined the ranks of forced tips. Your lowest options is 15%. If they want to keep business I suggest they but in an option for 0 tip or none. Personally I prefer to give cash tips. When you give tips thru a card it takes time for the cashier to receive them. So this will be my last trip to Cafe Bella. A side note to the owner. Check the lids on your cups before you send them out the window, so they don't come off. When a customer gets burned with hot coffee and you run off that is not good customer service. read more

I was getting ready to drive up north for about an hour. There are hardly and local shops open on Sunday evenings. But, I'm so glad this place was. I ordered a Lavender Love Latte because they said it had honey and lavender. It was good. I will say, I hardly tasted the honey. Very very lo wait very long wait. Took them 18 mins to make a hot dirty chai. And when I checked to see when it was going to be done they gave me attitude. First time visiting this coffee shop and I was impressed! I got an English toffee latte with a jalapeño cheese bagel for $9 which is pretty fair. Adding a flavored syrup costs around 70 cents but they have a pretty wide variety of syrups to choose from. The bagel was on the thinner, less fluffy side but it was very tasty and paired well with their cream cheese. They also offer free wifi so it could be used as a good study spot. Today I came to Cafe Bella on my lunch break in search of a healthier and delicious lunch. I was greeted by a kind and enthusiastic gentleman, and an easy-to-read menu with plenty of great choices. The place was very clean inside as well is being well organized and it felt very comfortable. I got a TY bowl which is half acai and half pitaya. The fruit toppings looked and tasted super fresh, and the acai and pitaya were delicious and fresh as well. I loved that they put some granola in the bottom of the bowl as well, that was the first time I've seen anyone do that. I also got an iced caramel macchiato which was very tasty, it didn't have an overwhelming amount of sugar or syrup in it, and it was very refreshing. Yummy, friendly, quick & local cafe! This about sums up Cafe Bella! Now the food is great!! Honestly don't think I've had a bad item on the menu. The pastries aren't made in house, so those wouldn't be my first recommendation, but the açaí bowls and empanadas are delicious! Bagels are served sandwich style and I recommend the lox or turkey sandwiches. Where they really excel is drinks! All time FAVE is the snickers espresso frap *insert drool face* and they make a mean Vietnamese coffee. It's so nice to have a local drive thru spot in this area now! There's a ton of drive thru places near by, but none of which you consistently see the owner and are greeted so kindly! My experience today was bad. I had to wait over 30 mins to get two items. They gave me the wrong order and when I went in to tell them they had over 6 people working inside.
