Always great food and wonderful service ! The steaks are great and recommend the chicken kebabs with couscous.

I tried the Mexican themed buffet: the green chili and corn soup was very good, everything else was meh; and I stopped at one bite of the cinnamon cake. For $10.95 it's far from value. I agree with another reviewer that the espresso is excellent. Off the menu items looked scrumptious, $21.95 for Steak and Fries isn't too crazy for the portion I saw. Not one server stopped by my table to check-in, too see if I wanted anything else. :-( ....if this is a community center, it certainly didn't feel very communal unless you look like you fit in. Only kosher restaurant in Portland!! Every Tuesday they have meat. The rest of the week is dairy. Be sure to check for times because they are not open for dinner every night. It's a cafeteria vibe with delicious food. I had the beef and buffet and was extremely pleased with the way the food was cooked. They also had kosher wine that was delicious. A must visit for anyone that keeps kosher and wants a warm meal. read more

I am SO PLEASED that this little cafe offers a Certified Kosher menu!! It's nestled within the Jewish Community Center and though the atmosphere may feel cafeteria style, the chef does a FANTASTIC job with the menu and has a great accent. Great prices and great Kosher food! We left with our tummies full and hearts content. Be ready to show your ID, as it is a private Community Center but the cafe is open to the public. read more

Trying to keep kosher in this town of milk (in) challah? Well good luck with that. Whatever your affiliation you should check out the café inside the Mittleman Jewish Community Center. The food in the deli is very good, fresh and kosher certified. Dinners are a deal. I had an amazing wild salmon dinner with salad, roll and all for six bucks. They also have a buffet on Tuesdays. This is literally the only kosher stop in town but it is really worth it! They make food fresh and have coffee drinks that will rival starbucks. It is dairy most of the time but every Tuesday night they close the dairy kitchen and open for a sit-down meat dinner. Pretty yummy come check it out! read more

Coming from the East Coast our expectations were low as being the only kosher place in town we assumed it would be mediocre at best, but... this place blew our socks off!
