The clotted cream was gorgeous too. And yummy jam. I have to admit, the main reason we ended up here was because of a busker that was playing nearby on the street. She was great, lovely voice. So we sat outside the nearest cafe to her. Which was the Tangerine Tree Cafe. My partner had more of an appetite than me, so he went for the Moroccan lamb skewer and thought it was very nice. The cafe inside was quaint and decor nice. But we sat outside where were soaked in the busker music and watched the world go by. Bliss.

We all got the Sunday roast beef with the trimmings and it was so worth it . Only thing I would change are the roast potatoes they just were not quite " British style" gravy and Yorkshire pudding and meat and other veggies were great . Soon they will be all lit up for Christmas .

The food is better than at an average pub but also a bit more expensive. Think for lunch at prices of around £ 9 to £ 16 for a meal. There are 2 and 3 course menu options which are a good deal (at around £14 for 2 courses). Sunday roast is fairly priced at around £12 to £14 depending on your choice of meats. Also one of the few places where there is actually a choice of vegan & glutenfree products. A word of caution for people with a non-UK bank card: don't use the "open tab" system: this will cause trouble with your bank & payments.

Easy free parking is on site, good disabled access and the Manager has a good understanding of allergy issues. No background music nuisance was appreciated. This visit was at 2p.m. and the three Chefs were just clearing lunch. There were also six or so counter staff and two cleaners working. Very impressive staff levels. There were about a dozen customers present so it was not a particularly profitable time for them. Sandwiches, cakes and snacks are always available. On the other hand, if you choose to sit outside on a hot day and you happen to be terrified of bees and wasps, this may not be the best place to visit. The good news is that you can sit inside, too, and surround yourself with very English decor in what can best be described as a cut-price tea room (the wearing of a dinner jacket isn't required). However, the price of some hot breakfast items were inexplicably through the roof (in other words, relatively expensive). Choose carefully, and ask one of your friendly, flexible waiters if you're not too sure about something.

Lovely and warm, with various different jams. The coffee is good as I am not a tea drinker, but my husband is, and it was fresh leaves, not tea bags, in a proper china cup!! The outside garden could do with a little clean up though, so we can admire the view whilst having tea and cake!! Oh I do sound like a yuppie!! Everything in the place has something to do with Angels, hence the name. Would I go back???? If I was in the area, I would definately go back, but I wouldn't do a special trip from Guildford, just to live the yuppie lifestyle. Lol. Well done though, and keep up the high food standards!!

There's a feel good factor about the cafe - I hope they build on this. Nothing pretentious, just local produce cooked well. I would like to see more on thier specials board. The large full English was great, especially the White pudding. More expensive than anywhere else, but value for money becuase it was really quality meat. Only dissapointment was the breakfast comes with a hot drink and when we asked to swap it for a glass of juice, we had to pay about 80p extra..... Hate it when places do that! Would certainly reccomend this cafe to everyone.
